Another Big Ratings Jump for Twenty Five, Twenty One Episode 6 to 9.817% as Forecasting Love and Weather Swings Up Small to 7.007%

At this point its safe to call both tvN drama Twenty Five, Twenty One and jTBC drama Forecasting Love and Weather both successes. It helps that the two do not compete head on in ratings due to the different time slot though airing on the same nights of Sat-Sun. That eliminates the fandom wank to compete and allows both dramas to just be enjoyed on its own merits and critiques on any shortcomings. So far both have settled into a lovely rhythm, neither is perfect but the positives greatly outweigh the negatives so that the viewers have stuck with the drama. More impressive is Twenty Five, Twenty One hitting a series high in episode 6 with 9.817% ratings nearly breaking 10%. Forecasting Love also went up past 7% again and I just feel so grateful to have two sweet and satisfying dramas to watch on weekends again, both so vibrant in its own way to tell a sticking story for me.

  • episode 5 of twenty five twenty one, especially the ending, has to be some of the best kdrama writing i have ever seen. it captured the melancholy of being young and alone but not lonely perfectly. riveting stuff.

  • I am enjoying the weather drama. Its way better writing- wise than her previous rom com. I appreciate the support cast back stories. Its a really pleasant drama and I have way more respect now for meteorologists.

  • I really like Kim Taeri. It is my first time watching her. She's so interesting and really attractive in a natural way. No wonder shes so popular. I think I am most wowed by her so far. The chemistry with NJH is also good. Definitely agree on both productions being great watches. Weekends cant come sooner:)

    • I totally agree. I was first captivated by Kim Tae-ri when watching Mr Sunshine. She is so talented! Look at the kind of roles she picked. Not exactly the easy ones or cliche ones like the ones Park Min Young picked. And Twenty, Twenty Five is so addictive. This drama is so unlike other dramas. Full of positivity and encouragement for young people. Kim Tae-Ri's Na Hee Do is such a great young woman. I don't know how many times she is able to point things out to her mother in such a way that the position of mother and daughter, a grown up and one who is just 18 became the reverse. She is able to put her mother in her place not by throwing tantrums but by facts. The other female lead character is not so attractive to me. She has tunneled vision, insecure, arrogant and most of all, has such a chip on her shoulders. So defensive all the time. I really hope BYJ and NHD end up together.

  • Forecasting is pretty disapointing on several points for me. 2521 is great! I love Kim Tae-Ri in this role. The colors are so beautiful.

    • Park Min Young in another cliche role. I watched the 1st half of the first episode and decided to drop it. Another role where PMY is an obsessive compulsive, super efficient blah blah. Same old same old. Same with Secretary Kim and what's that drama about art? Same type of character. And the pairing with Song Kang just don't work for me. Visually, they just don't matched. Not because neither is good looking, both are but the looks just don't go together.

      • Totally agree, I feel like PMY and Song Kang somewhat lack chemistry compared to the other roles they have taken.

  • Go 2521! I absolutely love everything about it.

Weather is doing well too. I guess with more dramas airing, people had to decide which ones to keep and which to drop.

  • I'm watching both and liking both so far. I like 2521 better. I don't think I'd be drawn to 2521 this much if Kim Tae Ri was not the FL. I've only seen 2 of her past works but have become a fan of her acting and screen presence. Sure the writing and direction in 2521 are better than other k-dramas but Kim Tae Ri just keep on slaying her scenes.

  • I love 2521 so much. The writing, directing, acting and chemistry between leads all there. Kim Taeri is superb. She's versatile and a genius actress. I know she's always a great actress and got many acting recognition, but not really interested to watch her works previously. Never a fan of Nam Joo Hyuk, but of course he's really handsome and match well with Kim Taeri. He did great in some scenes, but in some others can be improved. I'm a fan of both leads now.

  • Well I thought the ratings will remain steady at 8% high and didn't expect that jump in ratings.

My sister loves 2521. I'm just okay with it.

Great news for NJH fans. Start Up only had 4-5% cable ratings if not mistaken.

Even big budget Bulgasal couldn't get any higher than 5%.
