I wrote late last year about the spate of leading men impending discharges from the military in early 2022 and all those actors are now back. But I left out L (Kim Myung Soo) because his release was later, in the summer of 2022, but now it’s early spring so time to start looking forward to his return as well. K-ent is reporting that L is already in talks for his first post discharge project the streaming drama The Worst Boy in the World. It’s airing on Disney+ and is part of the continued expansion of the platform into K-dramas. Already signed on is rising young actor Tang Joon Sang, who has followed up his maknae breakout in Crash Landing on You with well received turns in Racket Boys and Move to Heaven. I hope this drama arrives after Disney+ has done more to bring viewers to its platform for exclusive K-drama fare much like Netflix has reaped the success of its Korean content investment starting in 2018.
