After nearly a day of silence from agency Gold Medalist and K-actress Kim Sae Ron, there is finally a response to her alleged drunk driving accident and arrest from Wednesday morning. Gold Medalist released a statement apologizing for her and later Kim Sae Ron personally posted an apology where she admitted to drunk driving and vowed to deeply reflect. At 8 in the morning she was driving drunk and hit a transformer in a sidewalk area not only causing damage to the installation but also knocking out power to nearby businesses. She has withdrawn from the SBS drama Trolley but the upcoming Netflix drama Hunting Dogs is either done filming or almost done filming so I don’t think there is anyway for her to withdraw and the drama to refilm her scenes. It’s fine there since as a Netflix drama it’s less geared towards the domestic audience as much as global viewers. I don’t know how long her reflection period is but the pool is deep and wide in K-ent with young actresses and it’s a neigh impossible to really get back momentum and good will once lost like this.
