Okay, so it is likely October 12th but may be October 13th, but this week it will happen as C-ent is reporting that modern romance drama She and Her Perfect Husband (爱的二八定律) is dropping in the usual air drop suddenly scheme that C-dramas do. I don’t know when the last modern C-drama I watched all the way through was, perhaps My Sunshine in 2015 and if that’s true then goodness it’s been forever. This drama bills itself as a noona-dongsaeng romance with Yang Mi as the successful older woman lawyer and Xu Kai as her fake husband younger layabout. Visually she does look older but not distractingly so and it feels like they nail the characterization required in the drama, she’s got her professional life in order and needs him to bring out the emotional complexities and he’s stunted in life for whatever reason and may find that love kick starts more than just personal ambitions. There isn’t a new trailer yet but if the drama drops this week more will be released likely in a deluge in the coming days.
