• Who cares if it's not getting a resounding positive feedback? I like Wang An Yu and I think he is also one of the genuinely talented actor in his age group. Pleased he is getting this opportunity.

• Don’t know much about him. Let’s hope he doesn’t suck. But if his fans or himself want to get first billing on a woman centric story, drop him. The world is too short for stupidity. Pretty faces are a dime a dozen. Let’s hope he understands this show is not centered on his character and act his role well and get good results for everyone involved.

  • FYI fanwars aside dethe reason why Jing Boran quit was because the novel itself is not a FL-centric story and Jing Boran thought his role would be equally important but the script got edited to be FL-centric so he quit because he didn't want to play the FL's sidekick.
    Lusi also gets what she wants, she wants to be 1st billed and have an FL centric script focused on her, that's why it's a nugu like Wang Anyu and actors who have more followers than Lusi like Wang Yibo Wu Lei Karry Wang are all not going to act with her if the ML role plays second fiddle, they themselves want a ML-centric role. Same goes for Dylan Wang, Xiao Zhan, Arthur Chen.

    Lusi fans should stop fighting with male actor fans, from now on Lusi will probably pair up more with actors less popular than herself so she can be the top billed actress in her own drama.

    • Wang An Yu is one of the few pretty boys in his age group who is a genuinely very talented actor. He isn't as popular as some of the other young actors so hopefully this will raise his profile and fanbase.

      Also good he is closer in age to the FL.

• its good they change because Jing Boran has 9 years age difference with Lusi while in the novel the ML is young. age wise, wang anyu is definitely a better choice.

  • Poor Wang Anyu was left with no choice.There were buzz that he personally decline this offer but his agency and the drama team force him to agree in exchange of some resources. The same with YangYang for WRTW. YY was so pitiful bec he rejected it many times but got blackmailed of being soft-banned if he will not accept it. Wu Lei only agreed once and was rumored that he will never agree to work again with ZLS after he got harassed many times by ZLS Cp fans and ZLS studio.

Every other wuxia or sageuk is always male centric and even if it's not male-centric, they will somehow make the male characters more interesting, with the FL relegated to just a romantic plot device.
