Jeon Do Yeon Returns to Her Movie Star Aura in Post Crash Course in Romance Interviews Discussing the Drama — 11 Comments

  1. I agree. The coordi and hair stylist need to reflect like what was up with those fugly coats. This is why I can’t wait for her film Kill Boksoon where she wears designer pantsuits. Anyway I am so happy for her. She has gained new fans with CCIR. Her daughter’s middle school classmates liking CCIR. Younger folks, who were not familiar with her previous work, approaching her and saying how much they are fans. International fans starting to watch her films.

  2. She looks so gorgeous here!! If she was styled like this in the drama, maybe their age difference wouldn’t have been so obvious and their romance much more believable.

  3. Yes the wardrobe department did her injustice. This image would have match Teacher Choi perfectly.
Who says a mother need to look grumpy. Nowadays so many hip ajummas like those mommy in CCIR.

  4. Eu já acho que estava tudo certo… Não entendo o preconceito contra as pessoas bem normais e que tem seu próprio brilho. Eles contaram uma história. A vida é assim. Tem encontros que são assim. Para mim a série saiu do lugar comum e fiquei feliz que a protagonista não ficou mais linda ou moderna por causa do relacionamento. Ela ficou a mesma por quem o professor- estrela de apaixonou.

  5. Agree with the comments. Women of that age can still dress up, not necessarily depicted by frumpy clothes and old fashion hair style. That it will be more convincing to have the “star teacher” fallen in love with her.

  6. i would definitely watch this to the end if she were styled like this.
i dropped this drama in the middle eps bcoz cant stand with the ajumma looks

  7. She’s beautiful. It must have been hard to hear all thr criticism but I’m happy she didn’t let it get her down.

  8. I have a hard time with people not liking her character’s age and looks. She played a woman who spent her days cooking and running a side dish store. Then she has her niece and brother to take care of. She was busy!

I don’t think her appearance or clothes were her priority. Maybe if her mother had lived and her sister hadn’t abandoned her daughter and she hadn’t had to quit the hand ball team things would have been different.

I think this romcom might have interjected a bit too much reality for fans of the genre. (Don’t mean it as a put down, I know the point of romcoms isn’t about reality)

But I agree about the round coats at the end; I didn’t understand them at all.

    • To me, she looked like his mother and that put me off enough to drop the drama. Before people start screaming at me as they do (not you) I do the same thing when it is the reverse.

You said it yourself, it is a rom com. It is fantasy, in a way and frankly it has to be. Whoever thinks that a star guy like that would have fallen for her irl is living in a dream world. It does not happen, they look for younger even when their wives look amazing, are great people and they have kids.

She didn’t have to be styled in Gucci. But clothes less frumpy and a better hairstyle and she would have looked like many non-celeb women her age I pass down the street daily. It would have worked.

  9. I’m watching it right now and loved it. I think for her role here, her wardrobe is just right. Think about it – she was only in high school when everything went upheaval on her. She’s the only breadwinner, taking care of a brother with AS and a 5 year old niece. She is so selfless – has absolutely no time nor money to even THINK about dolling herself up! And even if she had the time and money, she’d spend on her 2 loved ones.

Plus, Mr Choi was not attracted by her looks, but her personality (which I have to say annoys me at certain times, so OTT!)
