A big round of applause to consummate professional K-actress Yoon Hae Young for not losing her marbles when acting out a ten minute long scene opposite Choi Myung Gil in the premiere episode of TV Chosun drama Durian’s Affair (Lady Durian) that has all of K-viewers abuzz. Mega makjang screenwriter Im Sang Han is back with her particular brand of crazy and she’s one upped herself in a new way for this drama. The uber rich family led by matriarch Choi Myung Gil has her own eldest daughter-in-law played by Yoon Hae Young reveal her hidden and all encompassing taboo romance love towards her during a family gathering. There is both the gay feelings and a cross-generational in-law aspect of it and the confession was delivered with such sincerity and conviction lol like she was revealing a cancer diagnosis and wanted her last wish to bang her own mother-in-law. Even more ridiculous was that this plot point was leaked earlier during casting and Im Sang Han swore up and down and back again that there was no such plot as a daughter-in-law in love with her own mother-in-law. Im Sang Han is so blatant and unapologetic with her own bullshit I can’t help but be impressed.
