As a dog mom and a lover of rom-coms I’m feeling more and more excited for upcoming KBS drama A Good Day to be a Dog. Adapted from the same name webtoon, it’s got a silly premise but with the right leads can totally pull it off. The latest poster has leads Park Kyu Young and Cha Eun Woo in sageuk garb which means this drama has a sageuk fated to be past lives version which may explain why the female lead is cursed to turn into a dog when she kisses a dude. I find human girl and doggie versions of Park Kyu Young so adorable in this drama and Cha Eun Woo continues to be insanely easy on the eyes and he plays a stiff reserved type of guy which means less acting haha and more just being a nice dude.
I am really looking forward to this drama… Will be so adorable to watch. I hope Cha Eun Woo can pull this character off. His acting skills have improved in Island.
I love both of the leads. I donโt care about criticisms on Cha eun wooโs acting. To me, his acting is just fine. I need good looks. I want fantasy not reality when it comes to drama. For goodness sake I am not watching a documentary!!!! ๐
Lol ur comments is love, sometimes I think we take dramas way to seriously n the criticism on the actors becomes more bullying than creative Drams n TV shows are suppose to entertain us, so watch rocks ur boat.
Agree. If an actresses/actors have visuals I like, I’ll watch them โ Cha Eunwoo is one.
Documentary have no need for good acting…in fact, no acting is involved.
As for Cha Eun woo’s acting… it is true, he is one who can pull off with his looks without great skills. Many are attracted to beautiful people/things etc. He was great on Island…it was a fun fantasy drama to watch.
There would still be acting involved in documentaries when there’s dramatization/re-enactment of certain events (especially in crime docus) but I do agree those types of shows don’t need good acting. Documentaries are non-fictional for a reason and viewers mainly watch them for the subject matter, not for someone’s acting skills. It’s not like a best actor gets selected from docus too but that ain’t the case for dramas and films. While there are viewers who tune in for visuals alone (and that’s perfectly fine since we have different preferences), there are also viewers who are critical about the acting (which should be valid as well because it’s actors they’re watching and not models so the capabilities of these people in front of their screens are bound to be evaluated + actors do grow from criticisms and it seems even CEW is on his way to do so).
Ha ha, I second this!
I love all three leads, Park Kyu-young for her adorable acting (love her in Dali and Cocky Prince, Celebrity), always like Lee Hyun-woo and of course my bias Cha Eun-woo. He has improved a lot since the Gang Nam Beauty day. And production teams always know how to work his princess aura to fit the flow of his dramas. Yes, I want beautiful couple and fantasy dramas. If I need anything serious go find other genres. No complaint from me ๐
Btw, @Koala, it’s on MBC, not KBS.
It looks pretty but not sure I needed a past connection between the leads…
LOL. I don’t get either CEW’s visuals or acting. His looks won’t change for my liking better. But if he has certain charisma on screen in his acting style, visuals can be ignored. None of his past dramas has convinced me yet.
lol, koala, you can’t read, huh?
certainly it’s MBC in the poster
The premise of this drama sounds so ridiculous… but somehow kdramas manage to make ridiculous work… I’ve enjoyed dramas about an alien stranded on earth falling in love with an over the top actress, so I will cast my doubt aside and give this drama a try!
Damn, that poster really is making sure we know who’s the third wheel, huh? Anyway, can I have Lee Hyun Woo if those two don’t want him? ๐
