C-actor Chen Mu Chi Admits He was Married and Now Divorced After Tabloids Out His Prior Marriage After New Dating Rumors with Singer Chen Bing
This is a bit of nothing to see here and maybe a boon for the actor in question. Rising male lead Chen Mu Chi, who is only 26-years old but I legit thought was a good 5-8 years older since he always gives off serious beefcake vibes, admitted this week that he was once married but now divorced after his prior relationship was revealed by tabloids. This came after dating rumors with singer Chen Bing, who is 7 years older than him, after the two were spotted on dates and also seen checking out rings together. Chen Mu Chi admitted he married a non-celeb, the two divorced a year later, and they did not have any kids. This is so like not even a story but whatever, adults doing adult things in private really shouldn’t even be a story. Plus the number of secretly married and divorced C-actors continues to grow and ultimately everyone goes on having a career so this should be no different.
I’m surprised he had gotten married so young. At least this came out now and not when he becomes a big name and fans start losing their minds over a divorce that happened before he started getting lead/second lead roles.
I really enjoyed him in The Starry Love – both him and Cheng Xingxu looked pretty muscular compared to other actors when they’re doing xianxia. They were both going to be in a drama based off a BL novel together, but with drama censorships, I guess we’ll never see it.
They’re both a breath of fresh air compared to the incredibly thin actors in cdramaland. I don’t want Arnold Schwarzenegger, but a little muscle and frame is nice. He also looks great in Creation of the Gods. I know they trained hard for that movie though.
He reminds me of Eddie Peng in both looks and acting. I liked him in The starry love and will check out at least the first episode of his next project.
omg you’re right. I used to love Eddie Peng, who hasn’t done a drama in too long…
Yeah with yuning’s example, it’s better to just tell the truth. Anyways this kind of thing don’t usually matter to actors.
No point hiding if questioned. Better then being exposed when he get too popular…if he get too popular.
I read Koala’s blogs for serious K dramas but for gossip in C showbiz. What else is interesting in C dramaland other than a name I restrain myself from bringing up cos some ppl are obviously allergic to the name? LMAO
I’ll never get the secrecy of all the actors and actresses about their love lives/marriage status. Do their fans expect them to not date or marry until they’re in their forties?!
Guess it’s to avoid public scrutiny.
I remember a top male idol whom mum kept asking him when will he get married…his reply was, he will be jobless the moment he gets marry. His mum stopped bugging him since.
LOL. That is hilarious. I never heard of this story before. I feel like cnetz are a bit more lenient with actors vs idols. But I think it makes sense that all these people keep their privacy under wraps. There are crazy judgey unemployed people in China, who have nothing better to do than bully or dig up dirt on these people’s partners.
FYI. That’s Xiao Zhan replying to his mom when the interviewer threw out a related questions. Lunatics please stop pestering me why I have to bring XZ’s name in each blog. I’m simply providing the correct information to other drama fans. LOL
@Somebody, I did think you would guess who it was. I thought the video was very cute…Xiao Zhan take after his ddad 80% in looks. He clearly love his parents very much.
