Character Posters for KBS Sageuk Drama Love Song for Illusion Pose Leads Park Ji Hoon, Hong Ye Ji, and Hwang Hee with Intense Facial Expressions — 14 Comments

  1. If you didn’t mention about the eyebrows or the forehead, I wouldn’t have noticed it. Now that you did, tbh, I still see absolutely nothing wrong with it…

  2. I actually liked the plot of the drama but found the actors quite lackluster in the teaser. They seem very green or does not seem to have the charm of old actors.

    • Say what you will about the other actors, but Park Ji Hoon can actually act. I was totally, utterly and completely blown away by his acting in Weak Hero Class 1 and would recommend it to anyone. It’s certainly not your typical high school drama fare.

Park Ji Hoon is one of the lesser known child actors and is transitioning to adult roles by accepting parts in B-list dramas. I would check out this drama just for him, but I can’t say the same for the other actors who look pretty green. But then again, I may end up being pleasantly surprised.

  3. This drama got called out on Weibo because people noticed their accessories were bought off Taobao https://imgur.com/a/xnJlei0 even the hair accessories like the metal clips are Chinese-style and not used by Koreans. Kinda sad because Koreans often accuse China of stealing hanbok (because hanbok was similar to Ming dynasty clothes) when the reality is that Korea borrows elements of Chinese style like this and it trickles down and becomes mainstream.

Traditional Korean style does not use any hair clips for men, just black fabric topknos

    • Park Ji Hoon looks too baby boy like he’s not to be taken seriously, which is weird because he’s a great actor but this is giving Chinese fantasy idol drama, but I’m if that’s what they’re going for….

      • Exactly. It looks well, not serious. Not that Chinese idol dramas cannot be serious sometimes, but this one looks of the not serious kind. Pretty bad job on those posters.

      • the posters look like they could be for an idol comeback lol, but I actually read the webtoon last year and it was full-on angst. I absolutely loved the webtoon, and if there aren’t many major changes, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna love this sageuk drama too

  4. Well, he’s wearing what looks to be a sangtugwan (상투관), which was not uncommon for nobility. You may argue that there were influenced by China (as is normal) but to sat that the Koreans didn’t use them is not accurate.

  5. just saw the teaser of this drama, and the last ending scene (the first character poster) reminded me of Lee Dongwook from Strangers From Hell, he must be the psycho personality. Now I really want to see how the two personalities interact

  6. As a webtoon reader for this series, i could say yes, many readers fond of the dark personality (Akhui/Akhee) but the original personality (Hyeon) is not as bright as you see in the poster. He also has his own dark story which makes him appeared cold too, and that’s what makes me fond of him more. If the drama ver fail to portray Hyeon as how it is portrayed in the webtoon, it’s not gonna be as good then…
