Park Min Young Sets Up Her Cheating Hubby and Best Friend in Second Chance tvN Drama Marry My Husband

tvN is premiered K-drama Marry My Husband on January 1, 2024 which feels apropos because it’s a second chance at life story that lets the wronged woman get pre-emptive revenge and also avoid her old fate. This drama is female lead Park Min Young centric and thank god I like her, she does resilient wrong woman very well haha. She also went full method losing tons of weight for the late stage cancer patient scenes. Na In Woo is the male lead and while I don’t dislike him as much as I did during his wet noodle phase in Mr. Queen which he salvaged shortly thereafter with River Where the Moon Rises he’s still not the most compelling and charismatic male lead so hopefully he plays a well written character that is easy to like and root for. The drama released new character posters and preview so check it out.

  1. I feel tricked. I remember reading a soompi article back in the day that this was going to be Lee Yi Kyung’s first lead role, but he seems more like the villain. This might be an unpopular opinion, but he’s a much better actor than Na In Woo (and a lot of other lead actors). I know he doesn’t necessarily meet Korean beauty standards, but he’s such a chameleon and deserves better than this!

  3. Na In Woo is terrible and yet another example of where aesthetics bring roles that they shouldn’t.

I am probably just going to skim due to him, he really can’t carry this role.

  4. After Perfect Marriage Revenge, that was a makjang but a short and fun one, it was hard to be convinced by this one.

NIW is not really a great actor, on the picture. He looked like he was cosplaying a cold CEO and PMY the shy secratary.

    • I agree, Perfect Marriage Revenge was an enjoyable watch , and i’m not even a fan of makjang genre . The couple had great chemistry . Lee Yi kyung is a good actor and i ‘d prefer to see him as the lead but his looks don’t match the standards i suppose . When i read some fans claiming that their favorite actors are popular because they are talented, they tend to forget that some are also very talented but can’t have the same opportunities because of the tyranny of beauty !
