So this isn’t a big budget C-drama but is what I call mid-budget but these always have a shot at being a surprise small hit. Youku will reportedly air drop with zero promos the period C-drama In Blossom starring Ju Jing Yi and Liu Xue Yi next week, or maybe even a few days earlier than that. There have been a few posters and stills here and there released since the drama was filmed last year in 2023 so this drama hasn’t been on the shelf for long and feels like it’s one of those projects Youku will air hoping to recoup costs if not generate some buzz. Both leads have stable fan bases and after what Ju Jing Yi went through with the billing fight in her last drama Sword and Fairy I’m rooting for her to have a drama air smoothly and go do some promos with her male lead to support it.
Ju jingyi is a likable actress. She doesn’t deserve to be bullied by internet trolls. I will definitely watch this show to support her and Liu Xue Yi.
I love love the In Blossom. Binge watched 5 episodes. Ju Jingyi always has strong chemistry with her male leads. With Liu Xue Yu’s strong acting, the intricate plot keeps the show interesting.
For me, JJY is lovely and photogenic (videogenic) and her acting is believable enough. So I don’t care whether she is gonna win the Best Actress of the Year or whether she has plastic surgery or not. I am just contented that In Blossom is turning out well enough for me.
After GOV guideline against excessive Plastic Surgery, Ju Jing Yi’s drama were put on hold for over a year…now they out at similar time…Looks like her investors have pulled strings to get her name pulled out of the black book.
If that was the car, why didn’t they withhold Yang Zhi’s dramas? She’s had so much work done to her gave, she sadly doesn’t resemble her old self anymore.

I agree with you that she made a lot of work on her face. She and JJY are NOT the only ones. Too many faces look very different from before debut are working fine in the industry. I do not think there are restrictions being put in place.
I agree YangZi too have lots of work done to her face, along with many others and it is not just females …but Ju Jing Yi was named as a example by the Gov supported papers …. I am just stating facts that was mentioned. I am not the person that make those decisions. I cannot answer your question at all.
I too agree it is hard to make such judgements which is why I dont think Ju Jing Yi banned. The company just put her projects on the shelf for over a year. She was rather low key then.
I cant believe that Yang Chao Yue always get so much criticized for her acting and was named first actress that fans don’t want to see with their baes,and forget about Ju Jing Yi, she always make sure the drama revolve around her so no matter how good the ML acting, she shine him with her awful acting
Thats because her handler/company lacks awareness of her lack of talent,ju jingyi on the other hand does know she has limited acting ability,hence her agency only put her in dramas that Specially cater (tailor made ) for her and invest and produce said drama too.
I beg your pardon ,her company always puts in drama that makes her the main character which make her bad acting look even more obvious as she gets way more screen time than her MLs, what tailor drama are talking ab?
Am actually more interested in this show than all the big xianxia dramas, probably because that genre is not one am into,unless the story is good.
same here. the trailer looks good and I love Liu Xueyi. Glad he is finally promoted to male lead! Ju Jingyi’s character looks interesting as well.

I’ve watched the first 5 episodes and it’s pretty good despite the ‘face off’ surgery thing was absurd. Lol.
But as the story goes, it gets better. JJY probably isnt the best actress but i kinda enjoy her performances. Not boring at all.
LXY is a good actor. And love to see him as the male lead.
