SBS Police Thriller K-drama Connection with Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do Ready for Fri-Sat Premiere this Week

My relationship with procedural dramas is very season or mood dependent. When I’m in the mood I scarf up amazing works like Beyond Evil, Awaken (Night and Day), Train, and many of the really well made ones in recent years. But I haven’t been in the head space the last few months so even though the upcoming SBS Fri-Sat drama Connection with my fave Ji Sung and the talented Jeon Mi Do just seems so dark. But also looks so good, and along with the leads there is also impactful supporting leads Kwon Yul and Kim Kyung Nam. The posters are so well done and establish Ji Sung’s descent into drug addicted hell before climbing back out to solve more crime.

  1. I’m not a fan of dark procedurals either, but I love the leads so much that I’ll give it a try. Jeon Mi Do in particular looks like she’s trying a different genre and character which is exciting.

  2. The plot seems interesting, police became a druggie. But this kind of drama udually ends up focusing on various case rather than having the theme as the point.

  3. This is one of my fave genres. To the opposite, I can watch any interesting dramas in this genre any time. But romcom and melo depend on my mood and I’m pretty picky about the writing, the directing, and every production attribute. This is a perfect new show following Good Manager that I’m almost done. Thanks for the update.

  4. I liked all : Train, Beyond Evil, Through the darkness, Save me, Less than evil, Decoy, Weak hero class 1, The killing vote…so i’ll watch this one , great cast .

  5. It’s a great cast but I’m not sure about the story. I am always very wary of Kdramas portrayal of drug addiction.
