Well, it’s certainly out with the old and in with the new. This week C-ent has seen another fight between the fandoms of Zhao Li Ying and Lin Geng Xin, the popular and successful costars of the xianxia romance drama The Legend of Shen Li which aired earlier this year. The CP shipping was strong for the drama both organic from viewers and of course buoyed by the respective fandoms as it’s always good buzz and keeps the stars high on searches and interest. Recently Lin Geng Xin has gone out of his way to basically dismantle the CP of Shen Li making it clear it’s not possible and the reason he did it proactively rather than let the ship die with time is that next month in June the big budget C-drama The Tale of Rose with Crystal Liu will air and he’s one of the four male leads. His team wants him free for any drama shipping on that drama to help the ratings and buzz and he’s fine with that, and all the single male leads of Rose are very respective to Crystal’s team and will let her side generating any CP shipping as wanted. This has upset of Zhao Li Ying’s fandom who are badmouthing Lin Geng Xin as a user who cuts the bridge down after he’s crossed it, i.e done using Zhao Li Ying and then cuts her loose.

Do you think its her past time to attack people for the dumbest things? You are the dumb one, look at her drama resources,her upcoming works, her leads etc. No sign of career decline. She litterary had a banquet to celebrate the success of Legend of Shenli with tencent and xinli executives. You guys need to realize that most issues in cdramaland are fandom fights and gossip accs that does engagement farming by comparing stats everyday. Every stupid thing gets talked about, YZ and DLB fans were fighting the other day about magazine sales.The CP issue was quickly solved, they both posted photos saying they are good friends and it was over.

Lin Geng Xin continues to interact with their CP fans; last week, he posted a photo of them together, and she did the same. I don't think they care what the fans think anymore. They have a strong friendship and don't mind spoiling their CP fans either. Even when ZLY helped LGX clarify that they are just friends, it hasn't stopped the enthusiastic CP fans from continuing to ship them in real life. They are already planning to collaborate again in the future and are just waiting for the right script. The CP fans can wait until that happens.
This is stupid. Move on, the drama is over. No one is obliged to remain tied to anyone just because they've worked on a project together.
I wish people can be less toxic. I see they have never said they would date, and always have said they're good friends, have proof of it, and reliterates it all the time. Calm down, everyone.

When they get “stabbed” and “die” in one drama and then come back in the next, it doesn’t mean they were reborn… so don’t try this at home.
Some of these fans really live their lives thru their idols...It is rather sad...As their obsession on their idols is just so unhealthy.
I dont understand these fans...my own day to day is so busy as it is...I find sometime to watch a couple of hrs of shows for entertainment and relaxation. I have no time to bother with giving too much emotions to people that I dont know personally and they dont even know I exist.
What do these fandoms so in their lives?? Is their country making them so disappointed with the real world that they need to live thru their idol's life... I actually feel very sad for them...not dislike or hatred.
I’m most certain the entertainment business there feeds it and lets it grow this way on purpose though. If not it would not be so infected/toxic as it is today. These fandoms are so petty though. For the dumbest stuff. I’m like you I just enjoy watching the show not the behind the scenes drama. Most of the actors don’t truly portray their true self and is mostly imaging and branding a fantasy for the public. Sadly these fans don’t seem to want to acknowledge that hence the nut job over reacting fandom stuff.
That is a good point, the business really fuel such obsessions. They will use these fandoms to create only Buzz for marketing purpose, smearing competitors etc...
This is sure misleading. Just last week, LGX and ZLY were celebrating the success of Shen Li. I don't blame either LGX or ZLY here, its all the crazy fandoms. They truly have no lives! Its very clear LGX and ZLY are good friends who work very well together, compared to any other CPs, these two have shipped their CP the most with their interaction and praise about each other. They don't hate each other, they have moved on from their previous work and will now focus on other things. Fandoms should learn this too.
In their interviews they also mentioned they are close friends in private. Their real fans knows this and respect them. So many lame accounts trying to stir trouble, usually the ones that are making this a big deals are marketing accounts or their antis. Whatever let them waste their time. Why don't you go watch your favorite idol dramas and help them with positive reviews instead of wasting time hating on other actors.
