Lost You Forever Part 2 Premieres to Record Setting Tencent Heat Index and Announces Episode Length Increase to 23 from 21

I feel like Lost You Forever Part 2 arrived almost breathlessly but then took deep breaths to calm down. The first 6 episodes released so far have been motoring through plot points but also quite emotionally downer for everyone involved, other than spoiled her brains out but sweet little chirpy Ah Nian. Cang Xuan gets the throne and a shit ton of wives including head simmering jealousy queen Xing Yue, Feng Long is mostly offscreen until deciding he needs to actually have a wedding to Xiao Yao, Jing just mopes (bonus points if you love pining dudes), Xiang Liu looks like he might have a hernia for how much he’s holding back ALL his feelings for Xiao Yao and laying on the cold that neither of them believe is true, and Xiao Yao is just walking down a path she doesn’t want but doesn’t have the courage to change herself. If she can’t have Jing, doesn’t want Feng Long, then she needs to drag Xiang Liu to run away with her but she can only beseech him with a poison crystal ball and wait to get wedding napped. Sigh, I love this story so much and am soooooo glad to hear the second part episode length got increased from 21 to 23, even two more episodes is better than a truncated and rushed final part.

  2. I am unfortunately one off those drama viewers who hates cliffhangers and waiting for new eps…. so regardless how keen I am to watch this drama…I have yet to start on Season 1. 🤣🤣🤣

Which leaves me not able to interact on posts about this drama with fellow members here…😂😂

Happy Viewing to those watching this!!! I hope it is enjoyable.

    • 😂 I’m one of the ones who started season 1 when it came out back then but I hate love triangle tropes with the constant back and forth scenes with the boys so I stopped watching midway in season 1 to save myself the headache.

    • I am with you! I don’t like cliffhangers. I learnt the hard way with JoL and needing to wait 5 years for the second season. I still haven’t watched because I forgot everything that happened in season 1 so I need to rewatch that first haha. and there’s a third season…

After that 1 year rule was implemented, I refused to watch anything that required multiple parts. Although I don’t think I’ll be watching this one anyway, because it sounds too angsty for me. I read some spoilers and it seems like a total cry fest. Maybe when I need some emotional cleansing, I’ll try…

      • @Soph, I downloaded Joy of Life, saved it to watch when full Series complete…My gosh, I did not expect the wait was so long. Now we still have Season 3…I have yet to start Season 1….

  3. The Double is on Netflix, The Princess Royal is going to be on Netflix starting next week and Lost You Forever S2 should be updated on Netflix too soon. Finally Netflix waking up to the growing popularity of Cdrama. Keep growing that catalogue please!

  4. Xiang Liu having a hernia, ahahahahhahahahaha! Thank you for making me laugh during these angsty XL times. The man should have a hernia and several ulcers to share with his fellow snake-lives….

  5. I just literally skipped forward every single scene with Jing, like this dude is sooooo useless. I understand CX and XL’s longing but i cant with this man. Is it bcuz of the script, the acting or bcuz i just dislike his character that much? Lol.

Season 2 seems rushed and with only 23 episodes, i wonder how they deal with the ending.

Just dont end up with the weak Jing please. Sorry, i sound like a hater, lol.

    • Well, if u read the book, or translation from Koala here, u will already know who she ends up with. Lol.

That said, Jing is not my fave character as well.

I guess that’s why the title is ‘Lost you forever’. Everyone loses the one they want… Nobody wins.

      • I know who she ends up with in the book. But i wish they change the ending of the drama. I just disliked his character both in the novel and drama. Lol.

      • @Yui The novel literally has Xiang Liu’s name in the title, he is her soulmate and the only one who can give her freedom. LOL. The three are red flags, indeed. But she, herself, is also one. LOL.

      • I’ve read the novel but still cant accept the ending. I wish, they change the ending and she better stay single lol. The 3 male lead are red flags lol.

    • what a heartless bunch of youngsters pissing hot water in delight at the bad guy type. There is no need to insult the loving and faithful Jing. I like the snake and I respect him too. But I love Jing’s character. He is my the one favourite.

  6. My wish for the extra 2 eps is just Xiangliu and nothing more.. only watching this because it is Xiangliu and YangZi..

  7. @HL Same, but for a diff reason. I like reading angst, but I’m not sure if I like watching angst. My heart can’t take the torture and yearning for what will never be. So I dislike bad endings…I stopped midway thru season 1 of LYF, and will wait till the rest comes out with consensus on the drama before taking a dive.

    • @Coralie, I too dislike bad endings…so I will watch Eps 1-3 and then last eps then decide if this is worth watching…
      I do have many bad habits… 🤣🤣

      • Yes, me too! I just can’t watch it, especially when it’s not the happy ending I want, LOL. So I’m just peeking. It’s so weird. I’ve never “peeked” at a beloved-book-based drama before.

  8. To be honest, i didnt read the book and found S1 very intense and the ending unsatisfactory. Jing is the most useless and annoying male love interest i have ever seen. I really am not decided on the other ML. Whether i watch the second part or not depends on the endings. I am one of those who hate bad endings. So i shall wait until it finishes airing

    • n the drama I feel that the actions of the main characters are forced without any convincing characterization and development. The inconsistency in their writing is meant to be sold as complexity, but there are no dimensions beyond contradictions without substance. For an S-level production, it does not have qualities close to the original source.

  9. I respect Xiao Yao’s choice of Jing as the end game. It’s the only safe bet. Picking Xiang Liu, Cang Xuan are guaranteed heartache and bad ending. It’s picking up her mom or grandma’s BE script.

Picking Feng Nong is loveless political marriage which her mom also went through, which I think Xiao Yao is ok with because she knows what her mom’s life with Haoling dad was like if she stayed. BUT Jing don’t want that for her so Feng Nong is out.

With Jing it’s a choice her mom never had, so there is possibility of it ending well. So it’s her best bet. Jing fans might be mad at me, but it’s like picking the pet boyfriend. Once you cut off all his other claimers he’s your loyal companion for life. Its what Xiao Yao needs.
