Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi in Talks for Third Collaboration in K-drama Hundred Times Memory

I am so good with this if it comes true, as long as these two keep delivering the goods. K-ent casting gossip as Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi in talks for a K-drama that if they accept would mark their third time acting onscreen together. 1. To think that a drama with the plot set in the 1980s is referred to as a ‘period’ drama! Boy am I old! lol!!🤣🤣🤣

    • Haha, yes. I remember when I was a kid in the 80s I loved this film “Back to the future” where they travel back in time to the distant 50s. And I was like “wow, so long ago” and my parents were like “no, no that long”. Well, I surely understand them now!

  3. The description I have read this sounds like such a great role for an actress especially with a good writer-director team onboard too. I was wondering who the male lead would be and CWS is a good actor. It’s rare in K-dramas for actors to reunite so this is a surprise.

    • His agency just announced that CWS was not offered the role, and his casting news is completely groundless. I wonder if the role would be offered to anyone of his age-group peers. Perhaps Ahn Hyo Seop, Nam Joo Hyuk, Park Hyung-sik, or Byeon Woo Seok?

      • Sorry to their fans who were excited for a reunion, I guess.

I wonder how on earth this apparently groundless rumour started and spread to the point it reached his agency?

      • @Sunny I wonder about that too. I’m guessing it might have been one of those casting/audition papers that usually go around Instagram or DC? It was wise of CWS’s agency to deny it immediately as he is already filming for Melo Movie with Park Bo Young.

The buzz his possible reunion with Kim Dami created for this project is interesting though. I think it makes more people look forward to whomever will be casted.

      • @Cold Brew, @Sunny, I too feel it is just for publicity purpose.. However, I am curious if this is agreed with Chai Woo Shik for the temporary use of his name?

      • @Cold Brew: Thanks for the update. Why would the casting/audition papers mention CWS if he isn’t involved and wasn’t even offered a role? This is all very confusing🤔
It might be more difficult for whomever the actual male lead is because fans were so hyped up for a KDM and CWS reunion. Hopefully, the actual actor cast for the male lead is a fan favourite too.

Anyhow, I’m still looking forward to this drama as the synopsis sounds interesting and the focus is on female workers without the plot being centred on the lead female’s romance.

      • @Sunny

What’s baffling is that Choi Wooshik is the only cast member named in the audition notice and not Kim Dami who was already confirmed for the drama back in May or June. It’s understandable if he was attached to the project but still in talks but him agency insists he was never even offered the script.

      • @HL: Maybe I am naive but I don’t think the drama would do that especially as the speculation was shut down in less than a day.

@Faye: Right? KDM has been linked to this drama for months so why wasn’t her name on the sheet? Why would CWS be on there especially if he was never even offered the role? None of it makes sense.

  4. I honestly SCREAMED when I first heard the news lol. They are amazing together and OBS is one of the best dramas this whole decade.

Theres definitely some confusion tho. The news came from the audition info that stated CWS was the lead of the drama. Kim Dami was offered it a couple of months ago if I remember right. Anyway, some original Production member did clear out that nothing is confirmed and apparently CWS wasn’t even offered the role. I don’t necessarily believe it was some random error and production teams like to generally keep casting under wrap until it’s almost finalized. But I doubt it has any chance of going through now. Which truly sucks lol.

    • Such a pity. If there was any chance they would reunite, wish we never got the rumor so they could work out the details. Then again, you never know. I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed!

  5. Off topic, are there any leading actors—other than Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara—who have been paired three times or even more)?

  6. It’s very rare in K-dramas. A comment from a previous post about Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara mentioned Jang Hyuk has starred with Lee Da Hae in three dramas too: Chuno, Robbers and Iris II.

The only ones I can think of currently are Lee Do Hyun and Go Mini-and one of the projects was an extended CF in the form of a mini drama so doesn’t really count. They were a couple in Youth of May, siblings in Sweet Home and then a couple in the YouTube CF drama.

It’s funny you ask this because I just noticed this week that Ha Yoon Kyung has had three dramas with Ahn Bo Hyun but the upcoming drama is the first time she is his FL. She had an extended cameo in Flex x Cop, was 2nd FL in See You in My 19th Life and will be lead FL in his upcoming period drama, God’s Beads.
