This is certainly an unexpected way to promote an upcoming drama. High school romance drama Social Savvy Class 101 premiering in November got extra publicity this week with news that the leads are actually dating in real life. Costars Kim Woo Seok and Kang Na Eon were rumored to be dating and in a rare case their respective agencies actually confirmed it rather than the usual deny or stay silent. Kim Woo Seok is familiar to me as an idol though he’s turning to acting as well and I last saw Kang Na Eon as the competitive mean girl classmate in Crash Course in Romance so both are definitely fresher faces in drama land. Still this is cute that this younger generation is okay with openly dating in K-ent so congrats!
his fans seem to be really angry about this. I think this will be one of the last times we’ll hear about him in a drama.
Why they’re angry?
Lee Chae Min got dating news before his debut as main lead either, and he seems to be pretty fine.
I just searched it, this kim wooseok was an idol. This takes me back to when I watched drama imitation and became stressed by those obsessive fangirls that keeps making problem causing ml and fl can’t be together 🫠
he’s a former idol so he had fans that aren’t okay with the dating thing. also he announced his dating news right after the cutoff time to cancel for his fanmeeting, so they’re extra pissed. it seems like they would have preferred for him to date secretly, especially since he’s enlisting in the military now anyway. this felt like flaunting his relationship in their faces.
Oh, these crazy idol fans. I hoped they changed, but no, still the same crazy obsessed. At least I hope they’re not majority.
Probably it’s for the better he changing his profession on acting.

I have no idea who either of these people are but this is helpful promo for their upcoming drama.
They’re both good actors. I’ve watched their major performances and they did very well.
The guy is not an idol anymore but it does not matter because the supreme law above all laws dictates idols can’t date even after changing careers. Besides it all, there is another supreme law above all laws (lol) which dictates that rookie actors can’t date too.
This law need to change already. Fans and shippers need to leave their crazy delulu world (I still in shock of what they did with Riize’s member).
There are good examples of young actors getting caught with their gfs, as Lee Chae Min and Choi Hyun Wook, and they seems pretty fine. Maybe if more actors will reveal their relationship fans will grow up faster (I’m watching asian dramas and shows so many years, but it’s still so weird to me how they calling dating news a scandal).
