The casting of two female leads of the same vibe and competitiveness could be a masterstroke by director Guo Jing Ming. The doubling of two strong visual actresses and the potential for behind-the-scenes jostling makes for great water buzz for recently started filming fantasy period C-drama Veil of Shadows. It’s based on the Painted Skin scary stories about a female demon that wears the painted skin of a human woman and seduces men. The first filming stills from the set are out and we can see the costume, hair, and makeup design for both female leads. Both look great but putting them side-by-side I actually give the edge to Chen Du Ling.

Maybe Chen du ling side profile is ok but not for her full profile. Whether JJY has surgery or not and whether she can act well or not, I still like her overall looks compared to CDL.
Ju Jing Yi looks very pretty and I really wanna see her step up… from all her innocent next door girl and goody goody roles to something else.
Anyway I am still not sure whether she is playing the vixen or a noble lady?
I tried watching Fangs of Fortune with a open mind...but it is just not for me. I even fast forward the drama, I still did not enjoy it at all. I really dont think Gou Jingming's dramas suits me at all.
Ju jingyi is over-rated and no successful drama yet...Chen duling better acting but need more luck
