Song Hye Kyo Looks Effortlessly Chic in Pixie Cut and Fendi for the March 2025 Edition of Vogue Hong Kong — 25 Comments

  1. She looks great with this haircut, it makes her look younger , seductive, cool and chic at the same time . Many actresses love long hair but a well made haircut may do wonders . Kim Hee Sun ( Tomorrow ), Han Ga In (Witch’s amusement),Ha ji Won ( Secret Garden , Kim So Yeon ( Iris) …were really beautiful .

  2. This hair cut is by far and large better than the one in encounter where she honestly looked double of PBG’s age. It’s also so much better than her Glory look. The cut suits her face and love the make up as well.

  3. Her and her agency’s obsession with overdoing the filters in her pics should be studied. She says in her interview that she’s not scared of aging but all she ever posts in her IG are edited pics. Her legs, her face. All retouched. Anyone who saw the raw clips from her stage greetings and live events for the movie knows she no longer look like that person on the Vogue cover and it’s okay because everyone ages and she actually still looks good.

    • Agreed. She doesn’t look like the woman in these shoots anymore and that’s okay. This woman looks like she’s in her early 30s and SHK is a decade older. They need to stop editing her photos so much, because it’s starting to look like a different person compared to her in motion. JJH, SYJ and KTH are all over 40 and dont have their pics edited to this extent.

    • So I just looked at a video of the press con video for Dark Nuns and I think she still looks very youthful— no visible wrinkles (her nasolabial folds are starting to get more pronounced but that’s about it), her jawline is still taut, etc. The comments here made me think she looks super super different from these Vogue pics and that she looks super old, but that’s not really the case lol.

Also, we have to keep in mind that this type of fashion editorial photoshoots are going for surreal imagery. The aim is to make the subject look otherworldly, so no point in complaining about photoshopping and stuff. You can also see that with high-fashion models. They look super otherworldly and ethereal in their editorials but not so much in real life. It is what is. Again, these magazines are moreso going for artsy, surreal looks, so don’t expect to see realistic images or anything lol

      • You can have the ethereal look, but still look your age. Look at Lee Young Ae’s latest shoot on Vogue Korea. She has that “otherworldly” magazine look, but still looks her age .

But SHK (or her team) are the ones obsessed with making her look like she’s still in her 20s.

      • @TGIF

I was thinking of LYA’s recent Vogue photoshoot too. Her photos were even more surreal, artsy and ethereal but SHK’s photoshoot looked like they used de-aging tech like in some movies. Some of her same age fellow actresses like JJH, SYJ, KTH, HJM all had events just recently and they now obviously look like in their 40s but their vidoes and pics are not edited to the extent that SHK’s are.

  4. This pixie cut looks so good and chic on her. I would have loved to get this haircut this summer but I don’t have song hyekyo’s beautiful facial structure to go with it. I will settle for a longer bob then

  5. Why are they trying to make her look like she’s in her 20s, when her age clearly showed during her stage greetings? I was surprised at what she really looks like unfiltered, but you know what, that’s ok. She’s in her 40s. She should embrace it!

  6. Shk should stop with the heavy-handed photoshop because it is starting to backfire. People are inevitably going to see her unfiltered and unedited pics and they will see the vast difference between those and her magazine photos. She’s coming off as fake, vain and having a complex about holding on to her youth which is long gone by the way.

Someone said that the bangs cuts her face in half, makes it look rectangular and emphasizes her lower face with the prominent nasolabial folds. Not a good look especially in her raw photos.

  7. Off the topic , but some how I find Jun ji hyun more elegant beautiful when comes to actress in 40’s .she is aging more maturely than any other actress not doing silly filter or editing . Just simple

      • I also think she looks fine for her age but there seems to be a age gap of 10yrs in these photoshoot and her real pics.

      • @Somebody
No one’s claiming she looks bad at 40. The argument is that these videos look like she’s actually 40 whereas these photos don’t.

  8. I’m sorry for being nitpicky, but I don’t think SHK looks “effortlessly” chic. There are a huge work behind that. I don’t mean plastic procedures, but every person who looks beautiful working for that.
It’s not like she was just born pretty, too look as good on 40s you need to have healthy lifestyle, to eat healthy food, and working on yourself.
I read comments here about SHK editing her photos, but 1) even without edited photos SHK still looks beautiful irl, 2) there are such huge criticism on Lee Min Ho for not looking as flower boy anymore, the same to Song Joon Ki. Knowing how harsh criticism they getting when their looks changing I can understand why some of them photoshoping their photos. Especially SHK who was hugely praised for her look, the more beautiful person would get the more harsh criticism as soon as their look would change
