Allen Ren and Song Zu Er Reunite for Weibo Promotion of Currently Airing C-drama The Demon Hunter’s Romance
So it’s now all but confirmed that C-actress Song Zu Er can and will be returning to C-ent after about a year and a half on hibernation due to her tax evasion scandal. Last week Youku airdropped her C-drama The Demon Hunter’s Romance but that didn’t mean she could fully come back, it could be a soft lifting on airing her dramas but not necessarily a green light for her return to work. But this week the green light is indeed here as she attended the Weibo event with male lead Allen Ren and the production team to promote the drama. It’s her first public appearance and the two leads did their best to interact cutely and drum up more buzz for their drama, which continues to do surprisingly well. I checked out the first two episodes and really like it, love their own voice dialogue, chemistry, and the moody but not overwrought visuals. I know Song Zu Er is known as a face in C-ent but she always looks slightly pinchy to me probably because she has such tiny features but she works well in this role, and Allen for me is back in top form and reminds me of why when he works in the right role I love watching him so much.

Yes a little different maybe makeup but her nose and lips do look a little different than before. But koalas statement saying she looks pinched lol That is why I never could get used to her as leading lady… maybe it is how she styles her hair for most dramas too because at times her hair did not suit her features to me in her past dramas. She is a good actress though, but she looks good here.
She is a really good actress…her acting touches me. She makes me laugh, cry and entertained. I am glad she is back on screen.
Really happy for her to get the green light, hope she’s receiving lots of project offers now. The Demon Hunter’s Romance is really good, i love all the short stories so far and how they intertwine together.
Agree, this drama is enjoyable. Song Zu’er is a actress I am glad to see back on my screen.
Allen Ren looking mighty fine. I consider him a very good actor, he can do swords, is good on the wire and has personality. Not sure why some of his dramas don’t do well – perhaps he doesn’t always pick the right ones that showcase his abilities.
If there was a chinese Snow White, it would be Song Zu Er. She is so pretty.
The drama isn’t that good as fans raved about. I dropped it. Song Zu Er is overrated, at least per her acting and visuals in this drama. This was the first drama of her I watched. Perhaps she can change my assessment of her in the future with other dramas.
