iQiyi Releases Fox Spirit Matchmaker Second Chapter Love in Pavilion with Liu Shi Shi, Zhang Yun Long, and Big Cast of Famous Stars in Supporting and Guest Roles — 16 Comments

  1. I really do not warm to Zhang Yun Long… I am aware he is quite popular in China but he is not a suitable lead for Liu Shishi…
I will still watch this drama as I like Liu Shishi. Shen Yue looks cute here. Her character suits her.

    • He’s actually not bad. Is he very handsome? Not in the sense of Zhang Ling He or Wang Hedi level, but he has his own charms. I’m enjoying all of the leads’ scenes together. So far, this one seems very action packed which I don’t mind.

  2. Let’s just say everything and everyone is imbalanced in this drama. Lol. LSS is beyond this genre, yes? Eep. Dramas have been bad lately.

  3. I’ve tried watching the first ep for the cast and all the cameos but.. xianxia is really just not my cup of tea. This genre hasnt been on my list since ten miles. I also dropped LNF. I better stay awah from this genre.

      • They don’t have enough depth and cinematography. I don’t claim to be an expert but I do look at these sometimes when I watch dramas.

      • I tried watching afew but definitely not for me. But I do think the mini dramas are great opportunity for many new artistes and also experienced artistes.

China is huge but its entertainment industry still have more to grow. We keep seeing the few top idols, and the popular shows. I believe there should be more investment in developing different types of programs that appeals to different people. This piece of pie still have further potentials. Happy to see the rise of mini dramas. I hope we can see the more growth in their music industry too. But please keep it clean and healthy, I am aware it is hard as there are scums and climbers everywhere, but keep unwilling parties safe.

  4. I dropped it. Ep 1 is a CGI mess with dirty color palette like in the hands of a 3-year old preschooler LOL. The supporting characters were more interesting and so was their acting. But that’s certainly not enough to woo me. I wanted to watch the main Leads. Liu Shi Shi looked elegant as usual. Nonetheless, she seemed to forget she wasn’t posing for fashion photo shots but had stories to tell LOL. She was there throughout the entire ep like a mannequin LOL again. ML’s only presence was his monotonic voice (which was a good match with LSS’ expression LOL); he had no face but a joker-ish mask to freak me out anyway. LOL again. Summing up, the drama is a collective failure in visual design from the get go, not to mention weak narratives in the introduction that should pique viewers’ curiosity instead. I just don’t care now even I like LSS and some folks in the supporting cast. Bye! I’m back to K dramaland after unsuccessful attempts to watch several new releases of Cdrama recently.

    • Everyone has their own tastes. I’m enjoying Love in Pavilion. I’ve never seen a ZYL drama before but he’s impressed me so far with his acting and visuals. I hope to see more expression on LSS’s face though.

      • Can you tell me in which ep he’s unmasked? Perhaps his pretty face could woo me back to the drama again. LOL.

    • so far the worst comment ive seen all day. the drama is amazing and the character is amazing might aswell dont post this dumbass comment

  5. I feel like the CGI is sort of hard to get used to here. It is so CGI-ed, they might as well have just been a donghua instead of using real actors, but I do like seeing all these familiar actors all in one drama.
