Meng Zi Yi and He Yu Start Filming Period Romance and Intrigue C-drama Blossoms of Power
A new period C-drama recently started filming and it’s Blossoms of Power (Chinese title Bai Hua Sa 百花杀 which means hundred flower kill) adapted from the same name novel. The drama got a lot of press for casting Meng Zi Yi as top billed female lead right after her leveling up with the hit drama Blossom at the end of last year, and some chatter about reuniting her immediately with Blossom male lead Li Yun Rui. The male lead ended up being He Yu and this casting feels fresh and looks promising for each helping the other’s career to deliver another hit if the drama story is as good as the industry chatter indicates. This will likely be a 2026 aired drama but I’m looking forward to the first poster and teaser when it’s released.

you are so nice, I can say for sure. I have nice things to say too. She is pretty and thin, and have nice personality for variety shows. But she lacks acting ability, and have no energy on screen, and I don’t see any difference whoever pairing she is. The pictures above is like copy-past from Blossom. Of course there are plenty of actresses much worse, but she is not good either.

Heyu is really hot and can act! He really has the star factor to level up! Hope he has a hit project soon
I think Speed and Love will be his breakthrough drama if the adaptation went well from the novel.
Im glad he got the role for another romance costume but l cant really feel excited for this pairing.She gives me same feeling whoever l watch her with..
Meng ziyi is a versatile actress and she has played many different roles and about the comments above I want to say just don’t watch her dramas if you not like her acting. No one has right to judge anyone and comment badly about any person.

I like both of them. Hate the title though. Another “blossom”?! I’m starting to lose track with Blossom title belongs to which drama.
I’m reading the novel now, I’m not sure if I’ll finish all 800 chapters (I’m at 200+ now) but it’s eventful and entertaining. think Meng Zi Yi can play the FL but I haven’t seen He Yu so I’m cautiously optimistic—the ML’s role is complicated and will need lots of charm and acting gravitas. I’m not sure how they’ll condense the story into 36 episodes too, the screenwriter will make or break this.

I like her too… I may not watch finish her dramas but she is not a bad actress at all.
