iQiyi Releases Investigation Period C-drama Coroner’s Diary with Li Lan Di and Ao Rui Peng on July 13th
A new week and a first release in C-drama land arrives courtesy of Coroner’s Diary on iQiyi on July 13th Monday. It’s taking over for the just completed A Dream within a Dream and is a tonally and genre different product more methodical and serious. It’s not a high profile production with a mid budget and the leads are Li Lan Di and Ao Rui Peng, but with this lack of baggage comes the opportunity for an unexpected hit. It’s nice to have a serious and plot driven drama relying less on chemistry or tricks but hopefully solid storytelling with cool mysteries to solve in this CSI Tang dynasty set up.
Coroner’s Diary Preview:
I’ve watched the first 4 episodes and it wasnt bad.
LLD and ARP are both good looking. For the first time, i think, ARP suits this role.
But seems like a low budget drama but not bad.
