Authorities Release Outcome of Investigation into C-actress Huangyang Tian Tian’s Family Wealth and Alleged Policy Violations Scandal — 10 Comments

  1. I honestly thought people were jumping to conclusions. I heard her dress was inexpensive. That alone told me the earrings were possible fakes. 400,000 USD earrings and she’s not wearing a dress that would match them? Hopefully now there shouldn’t be any issue with Rebirth airing or her being cast in future projects. She’s one of the few younger actors whose career I’m looking forward to watching. I first saw her in The Wolf and then The Long Ballad and she had a lot of presence in both. Loved her in Perfect Match. Han Hao Lin who played young Fan Xian in Joy of Life is another younger actor on that list. So strong in that first ep I was truly disappointed his run in the drama was so short. Absolute scene stealer. Rivaling the young cast of Moon That Embraces the Sun on that front.

  2. Guess we get to watch Rebirth now, though the girl may have issues scoring luxury brand endorsements in future due to wearing imitations.

  3. The stress is off the family now. I bet she will lie low and not post any wealth for a long time.

  4. Man, what a witch hunt. Since day one it was obvious (at least to me) that the earrings were slightly different than the original Graff ones, which shouted “fake”. And as of the one child policy, the government is now short of begging women to have more children – and it doesn’t work. According to estimations, in a hundred years (supposing Earth will still be around), China’s population will be half from what it is now.

Still, I don’t see an explanation about the mansion on the photo – if it’s their house and not a random mansion that she took a picture of, some explanation is needed too?

By the way, last summer we were visiting Paris and my own teenage daughter took photos of herself next to a Ferrari in front of the Louis Vuitton shop on Champs Elysees – I guess if one day she becomes a star (lol), I would have to explain how I could afford driving a Ferrari and going shopping at Louis Vuitton in Paris!

  5. Poor girl. What a witch hunt over an innocent photograph! Hope this doesn’t leave her with lifelong psychological trauma. She’s young, so such unpleasant experiences tend to affect one’s psyche for a very long time. Hope she recovers well from this ordeal and doesn’t try to mask it for the sake of her career.

  6. Everything unfortunately unfolded the way it did already and even though the investigation cleared up the scandal, I think the negative attention will stay with her for a while. With Weibo the way it is, I can already see her trending the next time she wears a luxury brand or even just earrings. What a damaging experience for a career on the verge of possibly breaking out as a lead actress.

  7. What a relief that the earrings were fake and that the family wasn’t involved in any embezzlement! I like her an actress. I wonder what happens to second childs born during the one-child policy era and now that we’re almost a decade away from it. Can they get registered?

    • Their family outwit the authority by using different surname for each child, one follow Mom surname the other follow Dad. Chinese man usually didn’t allow their children to follow wife surname, patriarchy.
