Police C-drama Sword Rose with Dilraba Dilmurat and Jin Shi Jia Premieres July 28th with CCTV Airing and Streaming on Tencent and iQiyi — 39 Comments

  1. Reba’s doing good in the drama so far, I’ve always felt that she suits modern dramas more.

    • I prefer to see her in xianxia. I’ve been told she doesn’t fit the genre because of the visuals inherent to her ethnicity. I find it irrelevant considering that in a fantasy world boundaries are broken.

      • Agreed. It’s only the historical dramas where the Han costumes don’t suit her visuals.

  2. I had watched all 4 episodes yesterday, and it was so good!! The opening intro was transitioning so smoothly that I didn’t skip it, the plot was fast paced, the directing was great, it was cinematic, aesthetically pleasing to eyes, all actors did wonderfully well. Usually I wouldn’t watching on going drama because I dislike the waiting but…but…this one is different!!

I learned a lot while watching the drama, that you had to make sure your safety before helping someone. Do not leave yourself at risk while doing something good. Be careful everyone out there…stay safe, stay alert while going out alone.

  3. What a deada** article @ockoala.You didn’t mention that it has broke 23000 heat index on the very first day of broadcast also the ratings were quite good. And this drama is focused on real life cases of child/women trafficking. I know you hate dilraba but if you write something about her then please add proper details instead of posting crap like this.

    • You’re a Dilraba fan, right? No need to harass commenters on the other article with Wu Lei and also calling Koala out. Maybe you should set up your own site to worship Dilraba.

      • I just wanted to point out something I noticed. If you’re running an entertainment website, it’s important to share verified facts rather than unconfirmed rumors. It was already clarified on Weibo that Dilraba wasn’t involved in that drama with Wu Lei, yet the moderator still chose to post the rumor, just to criticize her acting and encourage negative commentary. I have no issue with @ockoala personally, and I do follow entertainment news from this site regularly. But if the content being shared is based on halfbaked rumors instead of facts, that’s a real concern.
Many fans, rely on this website for C-entertainment news and often defend their favorite artists. I’ve done that for Dilraba too, so what’s wrong with that?

      • Oh I forgot to mention. Yes!!! Dilraba is my ult. I like her personality and try to defend her since she has many haters.

    • Oh she should definitely mention the heat index and how it is abnormally jumping because Tencent is faking thr data.

Or you don’t want to mention that?

      • Oh so tencent is faking the data?? Wow! check your resources dear, people are watching the drama and it is indeed good. I advice you to watch the drama first before talking nonsense.

      • @Sky

Tencent is boosting the heat, yes. You can cry about it all you want but it is all over data groups. The heat of this drama is behaving abnormally. It is jumping too much, in too short a period of tie, in the nigh, in several batches, when otherwise the heat is naturally dropping.

You don’t have to cry about it, it is hardly the first time this summer. Look at what iQiyi did. At least Tencent is exercising some measure of control, iQiyi was out of control.

      • @Lol

Okay, so all the previous dramas under Tenc3nt and other platforms are rigged too, right??? This drama is trending because it’s broadcasting on CCTV, and the majority of the public—especially from the older generations—are watching it. Let’s say, for a moment, that the heat index is rigged. Then what about the TV ratings and the ratings from other platforms? Also, her character is the most talked-about character of 2025 so far. You know, faking can only happen once—not repeatedly. I get that people are bitter, but instead of hating, just check out the drama before judging. It’s not some idol drama, so it might not appeal much to international audiences, but it’s definitely watchable, and people are following it in massive numbers.

      • @Sky

TV ratings are consistently dropping even though this is the preferred ge nre of CCTV audiences and it is almost August, which means the number of people watching is again increasing. There is also almost no competition currently.

The views on both platforms are extremely poor, you can check Yunhe yourself.

I have no idea what is giving you the confidence to boast like this, I suppose as a major stan you don’t live in reality.

    • You aren’t pointing out something. You are blatantly pushing your favorite while slandering and insulting Koala. Nor is it an entertainment site. It’s a personal blog where Koala posts whatever the heck she wants to, including rumors and gossip on weibo and the internet or just opinions. I’m pretty sure she isn’t getting paid for this.

If you are relying on this blog for C-entertainment news, that’s on you, not on Koala, for not understanding what is being posted. If you don’t like the content, don’t read it. Just make your own blog or website and post your adulation there. If you want to defend your fav, by all means do so, but there’s no need to be insulting to your host.

      • If I’m not wrong, aren’t entertainment sites are supposed to write correct data?? It didn’t happen just once almost every article of the blogger was kind of same that’s why I chose to reply. Nope I’m not relying on this website i can properly access weibo but I’ve come to know that many people can’t also I got to know about this website through a fellow dilraba fan. They said how the article was poorly written and the people are talking crap and hating on her. I get that my language above wasn’t really decent but what I said wasn’t wrong either

      • @sky AGAIN, this is not an entertainment site, it is a personal blog. Do you not understand the difference between a paid news site and a personal blog? I can’t access weibo easily either, but I have a brain and can distinguish between rumors, gossip, and unconfirmed or confirmed news and official and fan sites. And of course you got to know this site from a fellow whining Dilreba fan.

And yes, your language was insulting. And no, what you said was wrong. You don’t know Koala. You have no idea if she hates Dilreba or not. There’s not a single hateful or negative thing in this post about her, but you leap to this conclusion, because she didn’t fill her article with sufficent adoration and details about this production and Dilebra to satisfy you, while ignoring the fact that the purpose of the post was only to let readers know the drama had dropped.

      • @kokuto

Looking at her articles, yes she doesn’t like Dilraba. And except using that certain word(which i shouldn’t have) I haven’t wrote any single thing wrong. I get it it’s a blogger site [which I didn’t knew before (my bad!)]. There’s not a single thing good either, comparing other articles. I’m not asking her to honey coat her words for dilraba but some facts would be appreciated as some haters can go beyond commenting craps about her. At first I chose to ignore but I saw people kind of defend their favorite so why can’t I do the same??

    • girl let it be this site is a breading space for reba’s haters, as you can see itself in the comment section. There are very few people who honestly give their opinion here. These are the bunch of jealous people whose favorite is not capable of good work herself, hence these people go article to article to put down other people especially Reba to feeling better for their actual very untalented and controversial favorite.

And talking about koala it’s normal for this site to spread unverified rumors related to reba. At this point I have a feeling that she is paid by someone to spread negativity about reba.

      • Delusional.

The irony of complaining about spreading unverified rumors, while you spread slander about Koala. Point out a single negative thing Koala wrote in this post about Dilreba.

      • @kokuto

Oh! Was it a slender??? I don’t know where you come from mate and
You asked me before do i know koala but do you know koalas to know if she likes a certain people or not. Lol.. you can talk about her because Dilraba has limited international fans but i dare you to do the same in other actresses articles too. I remember in some previous articles people did point out her favoritism.

  4. I tried but nah. She still can’t act and it is so visible in a drama like this. Pass.

    • I checked it out and dropped it too. Dilraba should stick to idol dramas where acting isn’t really needed. She’s dreadful here.

      • This genre is for me, just not Dilraba’s acting. And I absolutely can’t stand idol dramas and romcom.

    • I feel the same way towards ZLS, YZ, Go Ara, Shin Sekyung acting… I couldn’t finish any of their dramas. I don’t mind at all if the actors/actresses ugly af in the drama as long as I could see the character they playing instead of themselves. So, to each of their own I think.

  5. If the plot and characters hook me, I will watch it regardless if the actors are wooden. I’ve never been able to get ahead in dramas where there are terrific performances but I wasn’t getting any entertainment.

I’ll take a look at this drama before I officially declare myself out of C-dramas this year. Lol. I have a lot of K-dramas to catch up with.

    • This year many k-dramas weren’t that appealing could only finish trigger, 9 puzzles and head over heels. But if you’ve some decent suggestions then please do let me know.

      • I’ve only seen three K-dramas released in 2025: The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Our Movie and Trigger as well. They kept me entertained till the end. I’m relatively new to South Korean entertainment and am trying to catch up on my favorite genres first. I a short time, I’ve come to appreciate K-dramas MORE, even though I’ve been watching C-dramas for about 5 years. The contrast is stark.

I usually return to C-dramas when it comes to adaptations of novels that I like or projects featuring actors I have a soft spot for, such as Reba.

    • @1+1

If you want suggestions you can ask me but I’m not into romcom so idk lots of stuff from that genre.

  6. The plot is intriguing and engaging. My emotions is like on rollercoaster ride, I wish I could hug Xiao Fafa and Xiao Yanyan that they are not at fault at all. While, if I could get my hands and beat that traffickers and scammers, arghhh, I hope! I wish! Nope, I demanded!

    • That’s 100% natural mate, she’s blessed with turkish-middle eastern features so she kind of have a little more refined bone structures. She looks the same in real life too (just have some eye bags due to poor sleep).
PS. I saw her in Japan few months back.

  7. @Kokuto is right about this site being Koala’s personal blog to share fluff like East Asian entertainment news and gossip. It’s not The New York Times or BBC News reporting on entertainment news. If you don’t like Koala’s content or style, don’t visit her site. There are other websites to get your news.

@cutecc, your conspiracy theory about Koala being paid to spread negativity about Reba is absurd. How did you come to that conclusion? If Koala’s being paid to do that, they’re either not paying her well enough or she’s just not doing a very good job and should be fired. Lol.

@Sky, go ahead and defend Reba but don’t use other people’s behavior on this site to justify how you behave. You’re responsible for yourself. I’m neutral toward Reba. If you like her, it’s probably more effective to spread your love for her when you’re not as sensitive and irked. P.S. Koala has flat out said she’s not a fan of my favorite actor and the comments here are never nice to him either. It makes me a little sad for him lol but I’m okay with it. I have confidence in his professional and business abilities. Plus, this site is just a minuscule corner of the universe. Maybe if you think about Reba in this way, you’ll be more at ease when you see an article or comment you don’t like.

  8. I thought her acting will improve throughout the years but heck, no. Her expression were so stiff as always and her eyes seems out of touch like when they were filming, her thoughts were wandering. Hope she get some acting workshops cause she badly needed that.

  9. I try to visit this blog once or twice a year for several years now, and the one sided dilraba haters that koala has been nurturing are still here. Are y’all planning to hold on to that dislike until you die? I guess you guys have been at it for years so it has become a past time and a habit for you all? Do you all feel good about yourselves?
