Summer 2025 Breakout BL-drama Revenged Love Male Lead Zi Yu Lands in Scandal After Ex-girlfriend Goes Public with His Douchebag Ways
So this wouldn’t be as big but for the fact that the actor in the middle just happened to have a career breakout weeks before, in entertainment sometimes the highs beget a corresponding low. C-ent had a scandal last week with young 23-year old actor Zi Yu, who recently broke out with the streaming only BL-drama Revenged Love, a very very popular series for those who like that genre. Then an influencer went public alleging she dated Zi Yu who made her keep the relationship secret, then cheated on her with his manager, spoke badly about his own fans being stupidly loyal (calling them idiots or SB), and finally ghosted her. This led to the manager having to go public with being a lesbian so the cheating is not true, but Zi Yu posted a full apology on his SNS admitting the relationship and ghosting her and blamed it on his selfishness and being young. He claimed to take a career hiatus and reflect. But then came the news that he was on a flight and sasaeng fans went to berate him publicly and made him cry. Then his original fan club which shut down earlier this year before this all went down went public for shutting down because they supported him when he was a nobody but once they learned of his poor character they had no choice but to leave the fandom, and sadly admitting they are the “idiots” or “SB” that Zi Yu mocked accordingly to the ex-girlfriend. There may be a lot more tea that happened or is yet to come but I’m too old lol for this type of drama.

@Smh…I read that this actor had to pay a large penalty to leave his former idol group (supposedly due to violence against him from another member) so I thought he’s operating solo which makes me wonder how he has the capital to buy all this water ? I haven’t watched the drama nor care about the actor except for all the entertainment business tea this drama has been giving 😂

I watched and liked their series and the two MLs showed some serious acting skills.
These supposed scandals should never have happened in public. Because at the end of the day it’s a case of he said, she said. And to air old dirty laundry if someone gains more popularity has a taste on its own.
TXN’s “scandal” was – to my knowledge – already proven wrong.
And Ziyu – he acknowledged that he didn’t handled the relationship and breakup with his ex in the best way.
What he supposedly said about his fans: if he even said it that way, I want context before I allow myself to judge him. There are extreme fans out there who seemingly leave behind all common sense, respectful behavior and reasoning.

I hadn’t heard of this background but did see a clip of a small fandom doing the right thing behind the barriers and then the Sasaengs going after him both in the airport and inside the plane – the bodyguards sure weren’t doing their job.
Beating an actor for insulting his fans is so wild to me. Lol if it were me I would leave his fandom and move along… then again these fans are extreme in general.
He clearly had capital investor knocking and investing lot money because he sudden popularity and they try to make public attention with all the scandals he had. With his talents rn he probably can make 2 top tiers actor/ celebrity.
The difference in reactions between fans and non-fans sure is interesting.
The only thing I’ve seen the former talk about is the incident on the airplane which they rightfully criticized, but not a word about all the things he has supposedly done. If they’re all true, good on his fanclub for not supporting him any longer. It never made sense to me when a male celebrity who has been outed as a shitty person still has followers who defend him like they’re getting personally paid by him lol. There are so many wholesome actors and idols they could show support for, why waste time fangirling over men who don’t respect people like you?
