Fans Turn Out En Masse for C-actress Zhao Lu Si’s First Public Brand Event Since Fallout with Her Agency — 10 Comments

  1. She should just shift into being an influencer and a lifestyle model. She clearly has a cult following, she can move into the Meghan Markle route or start her own brands and work in business. I can see her being very successful and wait out her contract to expire before acting again if she is still interested.

  2. Just saying, any malls in China will get packed whenever there’s an event with a celebrity.

I hope she’s feeling better now and on the right track to getting her contract terminated. Her drama with William Chan just got airdropped without promos, which is a sign that the platform wants to get her drama over and done with.

  3. Thanks for your info Koala.

As long as Zhao Lu Si didn’t do anything wrong like tax evasion, gambling, etc, then why some netizens wanna cancel her? Whatever she wanna express, let the agency defend if they are truly innocent.

So isn’t it perfectly okay for her to speak? Why must we suppress freedom of speech in the workplace?

Also, not sure why so many trolls hitting her with green tea labels etc. Frankly, is it a sin or a crime to be tagged as a green-tea? Is it immoral?

I think all these hatred and character assassination are all hyped up by fan clubs of other agencies or artistes or just regular people who choose to hate popular people for whatever reasons.

Anyway I wish her all the best. I am sure the agency already earned a lot of her appearances in events and dramas… so I hope they can go through a quick arbitration to sort out the damages.

And Zhao Lu Si isn’t the first to have issues with the agency. Many actors had similar difficulties with their agencies and had to go to court to resolve their issues, Wan Zanyi, Joseph Zeng etc…..

  4. And it was also properly timed, what with the air dropping of her drama Love’s Ambition on Septmber 25, 2025. I have to agree with you, Ms. Koala, may she stay in her best self both physically and mentally amidst the uncertainties.

  5. I will never criticize a Chinese Actor or Korean etc again. I used to do that.

But after seeing what happened to Yu Menglong and others. Never again.
The Chinese entertainment industry is a dark and scary place.

    • TBH, YML’s tragedy has shaken my faith about how my own fav has been climbing to the top. So many fishy and untold dark sides in C showbiz.
