Filming Gossip From the Set of C-drama Jiang Shan Wei Pin with Wu Jin Yan and Chen Zhe Yuan Points to Frostiness Between the Leads
I love me some filming gossip lol, it’s fairly harmless and gives a glimpse that the actor and actress are have personal feelings despite playing what needs to be seen onscreen. Wu Jin Yan and Chen Zhe Yuan have been filming the period C-drama Jiang Shan Wei Pin ( 江山为聘 or A Kingdom as Dowry) for the last two months and it’s one of the bigger on deck dramas for 2026. The drama started ahead of filming with rumors the two leads were battling over headlining status, but that’s since been resolved. But C-ent gossip and fandom filming from the set has heated up this week and the two leads cannot stand each other. Reportedly there are zero BTS stills of them interacting, their scenes together are perfunctory only when cameras roll, and the kiss scene recently was alleged to be fake with the lips not even touching. Of course the naysayers will say this is pointing to a hot mess end result of a drama but it could also mean tension galore onscreen and a fantastic use of off screen conflict lol.
This guy again. Nightmare. Luckily that Li Qin drama barely avoided bring a flop so one more like that and his relevance will disappear. Not soon enough.
Drama wasn’t a hit though.

I mean is it because she is married now? Maybe they are cautious due to this fact and that she recently gave birth. And they might just not want to generate any awkward rumors from filming such lovey doves scenes. Gossip is a terrible edged sword. They probably are all business and trying to get that filming done and over with. Why must they need best friends energy all the time from the leads? I info it creates good publicity but man must be exhausting for actors.
That was my assumption as well. They know the fan cameras are filming and trying to do fanservice could lead to unsavory gossip. Keeping it professional and distant off-camera is the less bad choice. Also, I think this drama had months of delays in getting started so there may be other pressures on set that don’t allow for room for a relaxing.
I will try my best not to believe melons this time :/ This is why I never liked the way they forced this casting line though.
Once drama is up to viewers I will judge them hard IF they show these feelings in their characters or couple scenes thou.
Both are my liked actors I hope they can keep things professional with this..
People who have met CZY have said that he is very arrogant and disrespectful and always stink of cigarettes. There’s photos of him smoking inside a restaurant.
WJY had one of my fav Cdramas, the Double, and CZY’s Fated Hearts may become one of my fav Cdramas too. Both leads can act. I will check out this drama. Gossips have done nothing on me LOL. Keep me posted if one of them committed any crimes, and then I will leave their dramas alone. LOL.
