Yu Shu Xin and Zhang Yun Long to Pair Up for iQiyi Period C-drama Yun Chu Ling — 10 Comments

  1. I am just relieved that Esther is not being cancelled. I feel like there is a smear campaign against her. I always encounter this so called articles about her on entertainment news sites making it look like she is done for etc. on the other hand praising another actress up to the heavens when they write about her. I am not from China so I was really worried that she can’t do dramas anymore with all this bad press I am reading. I am looking forward for her upcoming drama and hope it’s successful. Fighting!

    • It’s all misinformation in international news. That actress’s fans, I will not name who, did (and is still doing) a smear campaign against her to the point that they even mass reported her upcoming birthday concert this December to get it cancelled by saying she’s a problematic actress (literally what her “scandal” was supposed to be) but the government actually replied and published that Esther has done nothing wrong at all or any harm of any sort and she is not on the list of disgraces artists and her concert which will be in Beijing has proper permit (which is a slap to all those fans of that other actress who has been wanting to take her down). Anyway, it’s really only international where they’re spreading so much false information because they have big numbers, but in China there’s nothing wrong as passerby there know what that fandom is doing. Esther’s activities have been affected though because of this negative campaign against her since every time she has an event, these haters would organise in groups and bombard the event with mass negative comments. They’re even planning to disrupt her birthday concert since they couldn’t get it cancelled (they’re really her second fandom at this point spending so much time on her). Don’t know why they just can’t focus all their attention on their idol. But Esther is doing fine in China. Her concert tickets (only 10k seats and with 160k+ people in waiting list) and light stick literally sold out in seconds. She’s fine, don’t listen to all these negative nonsense.

Just to be clear, I’m saying FANS of that actress are doing this ridiculous demolition job, not saying anything against the actual actress. I’m saying it’s her fans who are very problematic, even fighting against a brand fgs and the brand actually threatened to sue them

    • Same. There’s so many smear articles for YSX and praise for the other actresses that I actively don’t click on any articles with either of their names. The criticism for YSX and praise for the other actress both feel super contrived. I’m so glad she’s back too.

  2. She absolutely was affected. She wouldn’t be doing a drama with him if she weren’t. But her family is rich enough that they managed to swipe the worst under the rug.

    • What do u mean by that? Why wouldn’t ysx do a drama with him? This year he had a drama with The Liu SHISHI and is almost finished filming a drama with Ju jingyi. Both big names in the industry, with lss being much more popular than ysx. I don’t get your comment. Has ysx EVER worked with an A list actor? In all her dramas she was first or equal billed (except for the flop drama sword and fairy with the Flop King as 1st billed). Believe me, if she had used her background in this industry she would have received high buget dramas

      • Ysx fan are really just like her full of crap. Nepo babies like her are so annoying. All they ever know how to do is use money to get ahead. She’s trying so hard to be popular with such a flat face. I’m still rooting we never have to hear that annoying voice and her plain look again.

  3. Zhang Yun Long have afew good leads but still yet to truly breakout. He has his core fans but definitely not Esther’s level of fandom and brand influence.

I believe Esther has pull lots of her own investors in this project. She wants to proof she is still a big force in the industry.

Now we have Zhao Lusi’s and Esther’s comeback.
