Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang Kick Off Filming for Rom-com K-drama Take Care of My Heart
Now this is one of the most literal K-drama titles ever lol. Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang have started filming their rom-com drama Take Charge of My Heart adapted from the same name novel. She plays a woman who discharges electricity after being hit by lightning as a child and he’s a man with an artificial heart that’s slowly losing battery charge and finds out she can keep his heart shocked to beating. Chae Soo Bin always looks like she walked out of a manhwa or visual novel with her looks and has done plenty of cheesy premise adaptations like this but she somehow makes it classy and it works. The drama should release in Q1 2026 and comes from the PD of Birthcare Center and Work Later, Drink Now.
The premises of some of these romantic dramas seem to get quirkier by the day. Some stuck it out but not many execute well. They are trying to be original but to me the ideas just seem to get too silly or childish.
They started filming ages ago lol but yeah at least we’re getting some confirmation which is good. The storyline is indeed cringe and CSB even mentioned on YYS’s show that KYK had a hard time saying the cheesy lines. But I definitely have faith in the director cuz Birthcare Centre is such a hidden gem. I hope more people would watch that series cuz it’s so humane & heartwarming.
