Park Min Young and Yook Sung Jae in Talks for Office Romance K-drama Nine to Six — 6 Comments

  1. The Qin Lan-Dylan Wang real life age gap was crazy though, 20 years! Although it was supposed to be just 12 years in the drama itself. Quite similar to Sniper Butterfly. Both worked somehow.

This one, their real life age difference (nine?) will probably mirror their age gap in the story. In dramaland where Qin Lan and Michelle Chen made it work against their much younger co-stars, I don’t find this too groundbreaking.

  2. Never imagined these two leading a drama together. It feels so random. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of odd pairings for future dramas. Probably the worst pairing and script that I have seen thus far from Korea for 2026 is (Nice to not meet you), if you insist on pairing mismatched visuals or awkward age gaps the least you could do is make the script work it out. I also wish they would pair on par acting but it is a jungle out there in trying to get these scenarios to be cohesive. Makes me feel bad for those actors because they are good actors. Not saying the drama mentioned with PMY could not work but for some reason I’m not so drawn to watch cause I could never stick to the male leads dramas like ever they were never my cup of tea and lately pmy has been hit and miss for me with her drama choices.

  3. I enjoy PMY’s dramas, even if they are the same old rom-coms. I think she and Song Kang also had a similar age difference, and she made it work.
I agree with the poster above that nothing can be worse than Lee Jung-jae and Im Ji-yeon pairing. That was wild.

  4. This is yet another PMY drama that shows her in an office, romance setting. Same scenario, different male lead. I know romcom is her strong suit, but it wouldn’t hurt for her to diversify her roles or she’ll be like Meg Ryan, who was stereotyped into the romcom genre until she got too old and her star eventually faded away.

  5. I’m not a fan of PMY. Many ppl said her acting has been the same all the time from role to role. But to be fair, she’s also got hit drama after hit drama. lol. For example, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, City Hunter, Healer, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, and the most recent Marry My Husband, just to name a few that I enjoyed. I found ML did not really matter much for her popular dramas such as Marry My Husband. PMY has proven to have eyes for interesting scripts in the past. I know nothing about Yook Sung Jae and I don’t care much. If she picked a right script this time with good directing, then I’ll definitely be seated to watch her again.
