The Heir is becoming The King as Lee Min Ho followed up his military discharge with a blockbuster drama confirmation, reuniting with hitmaker Kim Eun Sook for her next drama The King: Eternal Sovereign. This was clearly in the works long before his discharge two weeks ago, and it was cheeky was him to post an SNS update picture of … Continue reading →
The wandering Vagabond will have to wait a few more months before coming home to the viewers on the small screen. SBS delayed the May 2019 premiere of the thriller action drama so that it could simulcast on Netflix which had scheduled it for the fall. The pre-produced drama has finished all filming but a few months couldn’t hurt to … Continue reading →
It’s totally obvious that leads Ryan and Deok Mi are madly falling for each other in tvN Wed-Thurs drama Her Private Life, but behind-the-scenes leads Kim Jae Wook and Park Min Young are getting along swimmingly as well. I don’t insinuate they are falling for each other in real life, just that they are filming really compatibly and get along … Continue reading →
I was wondering what actor-singer Lee Jun Ki was up to recently, what with actors and actresses confirming new dramas and movies left and right and me wondering what’s next on his acting agenda. Turns out he’s still squarely in the singing side of his career and last week held an encore fan meeting called Delight For Us which I … Continue reading →
Holy drama casting gods this is HUGE news! Just released from military service Lee Min Ho has confirmed his first comeback project and it’s a doozy. While others who served at the same time as him including Ji Chang Wook, Im Shi Wan, and even Kang Ha Neul have all been rumored for projects and later confirmed their respective comebacks, … Continue reading →
Earlier this year after Song Hye Kyo finished filming tvN romance Encounter, she deleted some Instagram pictures including ones with her and husband Song Joong Ki, and was also spotted at airports and events not wearing her wedding ring. Both of which could be totally innocuous, celebs purge Insta for various reasons and not wearing a wedding ring when traveling … Continue reading →
PD Ahn Pan Seok really has a strong visual identity when he crafts his dramas. Each is unique and you can see that he maps out the entire tapestry in advance so there is cohesiveness in the production collateral, casting, and story line. His next drama is the MBC romance Spring Night and he’s gone overboard to deliver both the … Continue reading →
K-ent news is reporting latest developments that have tied together two separate recent scandals: the Burning Sun club investigation with Seungri and Hwang Hana (and Park Yoochun) drug use case. Apparently Hwang Hana is a frequent visitor to Burning Sun, is friends with the major investors, and reportedly gave the Burning Sun owner a list of VIP stars who have … Continue reading →
The queen of fashion diversity goes dark again but this time hits it out of the park. Song Hye Kyo attended a Prada event this weekend going back to the dark palette after donning white dresses in recent CF events overseas. Unlike her heavy and staid black ball gown matronly look fail at the HK Film Awards, she went with … Continue reading →
Hit K-drama screenwriter Kim Eun Sook is elevating one of her previous drama’s assistant PDs to the head role for her yet untitled next drama. It’s confirmed for March 2020 and she will be working not with her long time PD collaborator Lee Eun Bok of Descendants of the Sun and Goblin but with his second chair PD Lee Sang … Continue reading →
Behind-the-scenes is always the best when it comes to an awards show, giving a glimpse of friendships and camaraderie within the industry and even some star struck awe going on between stars. The 2019 Baeksang Arts Award was last week and I thought the winners were nicely spread out especially in the television drama categories where the most popular 2018 … Continue reading →
TW-actor Wallace Huo was spotted at the airport this week and he’s definitely got a new look. It’s the look Chinese folks deem “happiness fat” (幸福肥) which means when one is living contently then the pound pile on because a happy person tends to eat more or at least eat regularly. When one’s happiness fat is caused by happy wife … Continue reading →
tvN Wed-Thurs drama Her Private Life is like a meal that we’ve all eaten before but done exquisitely right. There are misunderstandings and hidden secrets, pretend kisses and imagery kisses, and now plotting second leads giving out false information to dissuade the leads from consummating their love. Here the leads Park Min Young and Kim Jae Wook are hitting every … Continue reading →
