I’m excited that Tang dynasty C-drama The Story of Pearl Girl is arriving sooner than I expected on the small screen. The drama released two new stills last week of leads Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning and when I went looking for airing rumors the latest is that post-production just finished and the drama team plans to do … Continue reading →

Member Suga was revealed to have been booked by police for a drunk driving incident where he was spotted on an electrical scooter and fell over impaired. The electrical scooter was an electric moped/small motorcycle and … Continue reading →
So I’m going to give As Beautiful as You another chance after learning that it’s the first big second half of 2024 streaming hit with modern C-dramas. The drama starring Tan Song Yun and Xu Kai wrapped with an average 6.7 Douban ratings but did really good streaming viewership numbers that industry insiders are calling it a hit. Attributing it … Continue reading →
The drama is titled 燃霜为昼 Ran Shuang Wei Zhou or Burning Frost into Day and has a new female lead on the cusp of filming commencement. So C-actress Zhao Lu Si is currently filming Love’s Ambition with William Chan and that is scheduled to wrap in September next month. This is probably one of my least favorite looks on K-actress Song Hye Kyo but she’s there for a brand event which means her outfit was selected for her and she can only do her best. She was in HK this week for a Fendi store event and was pictures in an olive and milk tea color block mock neck … Continue reading →
A new ENA drama caught my attention this week when it confirmed the earlier rumored cast. The Starry Night will star Go Hyun Jung and Ryeo Un with Yoon Sang Hyun and idol-actor Lee Jin Woo in supporting roles. Go Hyun Jung is a music executive who takes one last gamble on Ryeo Un’s trainee singer to sell his contract … Continue reading →

So don’t be too passionately in wait for this drama which is still filming and most likely will be a 2025 release. I love seeing less buzzy dramas succeed on its merits and this summer of 2024 has a sequel that has become a hit just like the first season and now a third season has been announced. Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty 2: Go West is been a hit for streaming platform iQiyi and the first Douban ratings are out at … Continue reading →
This feels like a random slow day of summer dating release from tabloid Dispatch but it also isn’t one involving idols so always less likely to get any reaction from fans. Dispatch published pictures this week of K-actress Han Ji Min out on a date with musician Choi Jung Hoon, a member of the rock band Jannabi. Both sides then … Continue reading →
So I didn’t watch Mysterious Lotus Casebook when it aired last summer but by all accounts it was a hit and has further elevated male lead Cheng Yi who industry insiders are saying is being bankrolled on big projects to come. One is the period wuxia C-drama Fu Shan Hai (literal title Go to the Mountain and Seas) which is … Continue reading →
