Many celeb photos are photoshopped and cleaned up and that is fine but the few times a star is spotting in the wild and looks incredible in all facets is something to enjoy for the rarity. C-actress Liu Shi Shi was photographed attending the 2024 Paris Olympics this week and seen in the stages of the fencing competition arena. Every … Continue reading →

All I can think when I saw the first posters and teasers for the upcoming TVING sageuk drama Queen Woo is that if this was a K-movie it was definitely move into Forbidden Flower and The Concubine territory level of sex/power/fighting. Alas this is but a tightly wound 8-episode sageuk that puts female lead Jeon Jong Seo as the titular … Continue reading →
I was already interested in upcoming tvN rom-come Love Next Door (Korean title Mom’s Best Friend’s Son) when it was announced with Jung Hae In as the male lead in his first rom-com. Everything since has been adding on more reasons to be excited for this drama especially with Jung So Min as the female lead. The character posters are … Continue reading →
So the “special role” or “special appearance” billing in C-dramas has worked well to bring in a big name for a role with perhaps less screen time but very vital to the plot. In recent dramas that come to mind it was Wallace Huo in The Tale of Rose and Tan Jian Ci in Lost You Forever. So for the … Continue reading →

When I think of South Korean luxury skincare brand The Whoo I immediately picture veteran top actress Lee Young Ae. She’s been the face of the brand for probably two decades and she remains top visuals and aura with K-netizens. I thought K-actor Nam Da Reum would be back into acting already as he was discharged from the military in August of last year in 2023 but he has taken his time and this week his agency BAA released new profile shots while announcing a formal comeback. He looks fantastic here and totally lost any remaining boyish vibe after being … Continue reading →
So I thought this C-drama was on ice due to the difficulty of casting a bevy of male leads opposite Dilraba Dilmurat that she can take revenge on because each guy is a cheating asshole as she time and world hops around. The drama is titled 万花世界 (Wan Hua Shi Jie or Hundred Flower World) and is adapted from a manhwa … Continue reading →
So all signs point to the imminent arrival of this C-drama despite the lack of confirmation and promotion, so typical these days to air drop and let the buzz carry itself. iQiyi is reportedly releasing Reborn for Love this week the end of July or maybe into the beginning of August, with a current lull in buzzy C-dramas on air … Continue reading →
The casting is moving fast for the K-drama Confidence Man KR, adapted from the popular J-dorama and movie franchise Confidence Man JP. This weekend there is news that veteran Park Hee Soon and the always excellent supporting actor Joo Jong Hyuk has joined the drama cast.
