This is an interesting way to market the second male lead. Kim Ji Suk joins Kang Ha Neul in vying for the affections of Gong Hyo Jin in upcoming KBS romance drama When the Camellia Blooms but so far all the posters and promos have been of the two leads only. I figure Kim Ji Suk was getting the short … Continue reading →
It’s a short 3 week airing for the final third season of fantasy sageuk Arthdal Chronicles, with only 6-episodes left to wrap up the epic tale. Episode 13 aired this Saturday and got 6.115% ratings, a steep drop from its predecessor Hotel Del Luna which averaged 8.867% and its final episode broke 12%. I’m still not feeling the epic-ness of … Continue reading →
September is when movie season slows down after the jam-packed summer months but I find it usually a good time for K-dramas to deliver quality fare heading into the fall. End of the month comes Melting Me Softly on tvN, which has been promoting for over a month so I feel like it should be here by now but eh … Continue reading →
Woah momma is this going to be an intense ride. The first drama preview has dropped for jTBC sageuk My Country and it’s all about my heart. As in, rip it out and stomp on it for good measure with the pain to come. It’s full on torture porn levels of torment on male lead Yang Se Jong and his … Continue reading →
A vacation is a downer moment, said no one ever, so the cast of recently wrapped tvN drama Hotel Del Luna are all chipper and cheery at Incheon Airport earlier this week heading off to Thailand. It’s the reward vacation that’s so common with successful dramas, a great way to thank the cast and crew and also keep them in … Continue reading →
I still remember a year ago seeing pictures of Hyun Bin in Spain filming tvN drama Memories of Alhambra, so it’s kinda deju vu to see him this year in Switzerland filming upcoming Crash Landed Love. The premise is rather hokey – Son Ye Jin plays a South Korean chaebol heiress who crash lands in North Korea and is saved … Continue reading →
tvN started off summer of 2019 with the highly anticipated fantasy sageuk Arthdal Chronicles but it was the next drama to come the fantasy drama Hotel Del Luna that garnered higher ratings an buzz. One will never know how Arthdal would have done had it aired all episodes in succession but it decided to separate 6-episode chunk into seasons so … Continue reading →
The connection and attraction between the leads in upcoming tvN drama Melt Me Softly feels so restrained and contained. I guess it stems from the two needing to keep their body temperatures below a certain level so as to not die after being cryogenically frozen for twenty years, or maybe their personalities are already the subtle type. Either or both … Continue reading →
Hold my beer, not as I attempt some ridiculous trick but so I can ogle Kim Jae Wook without risk of spilling because my hand is shaking. Clearly his fashion style as Ryan Gold in My Private Life is nothing like his real life style, as his character sported wide legged trousers and trendy chic office wear but here he’s … Continue reading →
I’ve got one final batch of drama stills to share, courtesy of GTV for wrapping up its TW-drama Before We Get Married (We Can Not Be Friends) with more goodies to slowly ease fans off the withdrawal now that we don’t have new episodes to look forward to every Friday. I thought another episode could be merited but then the … Continue reading →
Every good sageuk hero needs an equally charismatic antagonist to truly make a memorable conflict worth watching. Yang Se Jong is picking up his sword this fall for jTBC drama My Country and locking blades against him will be Woo Do Hwan who looks ahhhhmazing in his first teaser. I loved Yang Se Jong’s sunset hued patriotic teaser poster and … Continue reading →
The male lead Jang Dong Yoon has gotten a lot of limelight in the first promos for upcoming KBS drama The Tale of Nokdu so I’m pumped to see the spotlight turned over to female lead Kim So Hyun. She’s the “straight man” per se in storytelling parlance to Jang Dong Yoon cross-dressing and likely engaging in the hijinks that … Continue reading →
The first OTP-centric poster is out for KBS drama When the Camellia Blooms and it’s daring and sweet. Leads Gong Hyo Jin and Kang Ha Neul are shown from behind as they sit on steps talking happily to each other, with the port in the distance beyond their neighborhood. She runs a homely restaurant/bar, he’s the local police officer, and … Continue reading →
