I’m talking about Love Game in Eastern Fantasy adapted from the novel The Guide to Capturing a Black Lotus, which confirmed a premiere date this coming weekend on November 1st. Leads Yu Shu Xin and Ding Yu Xi are part of a demon slaying monster fighting squad including Zhu Xu Dan and Yang Shi Ze but the twist is that she’s a modern girl pulled into a fictional story game and must survive to the end to get back to the real world. If the meta elements are done right it can be quite entertaining to watch her navigate this magical world with her human personality and knowledge of the story. The drama premieres this weekend on November 1st on Tencent streaming.
