Ji Chang Wook Also Considering Rom-com K-drama Melt Me as Post Military Project

The drama casting agents are working overtime to land K-actor Ji Chang Wook and honestly I don’t blame them. He left for the military two years ago on a positive note with thriller drama The K2 and the cult hit Healer before that. He’s got the versatile repertoire of sageuk to family drama to action flick to melodrama and is missing just a rom-com from this array of K-drama genres so this potential casting fits that slot. He’s been offered the male lead in rom-com Melt Me, which will compete with the other offer he’s entertaining for sci-fi drama City of Stars. Melt Me is about a man and woman who have been frozen for twenty years and thawed to live in a new world needing to keep their core temperature at 27.5 degrees Celsius. The drama is from the PD of A Gentleman’s Dignity and Gu Family Book and written by the screenwriter of Women of Dignity and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, and is scheduled to air on tvN after the Hong Sisters supernatural drama Hotel de Luna.
