Memory Laden First Teaser for the Coffee Prince 13th Anniversary Reunion Led by Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye

The cast of 2007 K-drama Coffee Prince is one of the most successful collection of actors and actresses, on top of the drama being a ratings hit and Hallyu winner. Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye followed up CP with many more hits and all the supporting stars have gone on to become leads in their own right including Lee Seon Kyun, Chae Jung Ahn, Kim Dong Wook, and Kim Jae Wook. Only Lee Eon who passed away in a motorcycle accident not part of this reunion and we never got to see his full potential. I’m sure the reunion with remember him and from the teaser it takes everyone down memory land with plenty of laughs and cringes. I’m so going to cry watching this sniffles, so many wonderful feels.

  1. It’s amazing how they were able to pull this off. Also read that this special is for 2 episodes so I’m doubly excited.

It just looks like not all the cast are at the same place. Seems like they sent them in pairs. But YEH has 2 different outfits on so we may see them all together.. at least I’m hoping.

  2. Of all the casts, I personally think Lee Seon Kyun is the most successful. He may not be a Hallyu star since he is not the typical oppa type, but an ajusshi but he’s doing consistently great in dramas and movies, winning awards and not to mention getting the attention of high profile director as Bong Joon Ho who worked only with the best of the best in the industry.

    • I think LSK has done very well for himself, but popularity wise he is probably not on Gong Yoo’s level. He is a great actor but somehow not quite able to rise in popularity for reasons I don’t understand.

      • I bet he is not into popularity. He is doing well and most of his choices in drama and movies are doing well and critically praised. He is a family man who is married to equally talented actress. I can see longevity in his career.

    • Really agree with you @OMG . He is like some american, english actors who aren’t popular but have a solid career in terms of longetivity and really good performances . They are the ones that i admire the most .

  3. Great, I’m going to be sobbing. It’s like seeing a group of high school friends have a reunion after decades.its very true what koala said, this cast is one of the most successful. Usually not all the actors in such hits go on to prosperous careers, from the leads to the extended supporting cast. I mean I never took mim dong wook seriously with his “my chan” but look at hil now and I kept screaming for the drama Gods to make KJW a lead and finally, i hope good things follow them

  4. Everytime I see Yoon Eun Hye’s name and everything related to her now.I feel very sad.I know I shouldnt, she is wealthy, still has a career and pursuing other endeavours quietly. But to see someone with so much potential in acting not being utilized to her fullest just breaks my heart.

She is very much in the league of Seo Hyun Jin, Park Min Young, Hwang Jung Eum etc(when she is not overacting).Actresses who are natural in romcoms and she was particularly good in creating chemistry with her male costars. I thought she also had potential to be good in melodramas with time after watching her in “I miss you” drama.

    • I second you @RubyRed . I always feel sad about what happened to her, as if she killed someone . Yes she had a scandal but it was so trivial if you compare it with many others celebrities who where involved in drugs, sex scandals,…and still working as if nothing happened. I do not care , better for them but i want equality, fairness . . Her story stills an enigma for me . I really miss her . But perhaps it’s her choice to stay away from the harsh entertainment industry .Or she isn’t interested in the projects that are send to her ?

      • I totally feel you. The plagiarism scandal hurt her reputation a lot, to the point her film After Love hasn’t been released for almost 5 years now. I remember years ago articles about her always had major downvotes. Sigh. I hope this reunion opens more casting opportunities for YEH, and people will fall in love again with her through her fantastic performance as Go Eun Chan.

  5. Gah, this is so nostalgic. Coffee Prince is one of my favorite Kdrama. Like, I still squeal just remembering some of its swoony scenes. I miss Yoon Eun Hye in kdramaland, I really hope she comes back soon.

  6. I love this kdrama all the cast did excellent performance especially Goong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye. I hope they will make series 2 for they really make the fans happy.

  7. I love Yoon Eun Hye.. all her kdramas.. and most coffee prince.. she is a good actress.. hope to see her again in new kdramas

    • Why they don’t do that coffee Princess that was they were planning at the end part of coffee Prince. Would be nice if the story han seol and chan will get married and the story sorround to the 2 coffee shops and the people around them with love partners and original cast. This will be riot and fun.
