Vincenzo Episode 15 Jumps the Pigeon Off the Bat But Recovers its Footing to Deliver Another Comedy and Action Packed Narrative with Ratings of 10.296%

Muahahahahaha, I can’t believe I’m going to so easily forgive a screenwriter for what this one did to get Vincenzo himself out of a jam to start episode 15 but it’s simultaneously ridiculous and ties back to earlier well laid…..bird feed shall we say. On the cusp of a mafia execution, who comes to Vincenzo’s aide none other than noisy and nosy pigeon friend Inghazi, who has plagued V since episode 1 when he moved into Geumga Plaza and so this whole sequence was clearly mapped for this payoff. And we all watched Birds so if the furry f*&kers can attack as a group innocent people in a New England town then they can attack on command a bunch of mafia assassins to save a very heroic antihero. This episode paused on any romantic breakthroughs and used the time to move other threads forward: seemingly upstanding Prosecutor Jung is as corrupt as them all and maybe even moreso by using Vincenzo to get him the dirt to barter with Joon Woo, Vincenzo hatches another scheme to turn a Babel ally and this one ends up with himself cosplaying a shaman with a callback to his flower boy character Yeo Rim in Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and the biggest reveal of all that Vincenzo has the Guillotine File as he slipped it in his pocket before needing to toss the gold bar back into the vault. Of course Team Babel is ready for yet another advantage flip but it’s all part of the showy game that I know will go until the very end of the drama.

  2. This show is fun with a capital F. Entertainment at its finest. The birds coming through just about killed me. This is one of those scenarios where the ratings should be 15% or over. It deserves at least 20% ratings. Perhaps the one week off, the show’s ratings will climb in Seoul to almost 20%? Still a big success, as over 10% means 15-16% in terms of viewership in public channels.

Taxi Driver is still early to tell, but I feel like Vincenzo does the whole revenge and justice thing way better and more fun. Diff. vibes for both shows, I know but Vincenzo just has that extra something that makes it memorable.

    • The birds are a reference to an iconic scene from the Alfred Hitchcock movie called The Birds…. it’s fun even without the knowledge, but with it…it’s even better.

  3. It was a fun episode, I love checking out of reality and just getting into their world. I’m also really enjoying song joongki and Vincenzo almost taking over kpop twitter lmao

    • I notice that if a drama has made it to the kids of kpop twitter (usually via comments from their translation blogs) it usually means there’s huge buzz around it in Korea. I saw it for Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, Moon Lovers, Sky Castle, World of the Married, Extraordinary You, Tale of Nokdu, and now this drama. And they deserve it!

  4. Keep on loving this show ,thrill and fun at the same time ! What else ? ANOTHER EPISODE !!! Off of topic, congrats to Shin ha kyung, Yeo jin goo, Choi Dae Woon,Gil Hae Yun,Heo Sung Tae,… for their good performances in “Beyond evil “

  5. Inzaghi is the best ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Also I’m in love with how many classic movie references the writer is packing into this drama – Lord of the Rings, Carrie (pig’s blood ????) and now The Birds. He and the PD are clearly film buffs and I love it!
