Popular C-actor Deng Lun Fined $16.6M USD for Tax Evasion by Chinese Authorities, Posts Apology and Cancels All Activities

I know paying taxes is painful, and it’s tempting to under report here and there, and honestly if it was just a little it will probably just slip through the cracks. But the tax evasion cases with celebrities (Chinese and Korean for the bigger part) are in the millions or tens of millions and that’s just wild people think they can get away with it especially after seeing the hammer come down time and again on other stars. In China after the Fan Bing Bing scandal (fine of 800 million Yuan) I would think no one in their right mind would try this but again we have another dumbass going for the medal in stupidity. C-actor Deng Lun (Allen Deng), most famous for Ashes of Love, has been investigated and fined 106 million Yuan ($16.6M USD) in unpaid taxes just from the 2019-2020 tax years in unreported and underreported income. In comparison, Zheng Shuang was fined 299 million Yuan in unpaid taxes in 2021, a top video streamer Viya was fined in 20211.34 billion yuan (whut!!!) in unpaid taxes, and you get the drift. On top of the fine it’s pretty much safe to say the star will be cancelled by C-ent and C-netizens, though Fan Bing Bing is apparently trying to make a comeback though it’s hardly making waves so far. C-netizens are in a furor, angry and upset with him, his SNS accounts have been removed, while some devoted fans are trying to hold onto hope. It will for sure impact his projects he has two dramas scheduled for 2022 release including the high profile Night Wanderer with Ni Ni, and he’s also a star in a murder mystery detective show on TV.
