Nice Guy with Song Joong Ki and Moon Chae Won Release Script Reading Stills

Just as Bridal Mask announced a four-episode extension from KBS, its follow up drama Nice Guy started filming anyways because there isn’t a drama out there that wouldn’t benefit from an additional head start. KBS released stills of the first table read of the cast of Lee Kyung Hee‘s patented melodrama mix and her first drama since Will it Snow for Christmas. Starring Song Joong Ki, the drama is about a guy who is betrayed by the woman he loves and takes revenge by using the memory-less daughter of the man who done stole his woman. Moon Chae Won is the girl with no memory, Park Shi Yeon is the conniving ex-girlfriend, and Kwang Soo rounds out that set of main leads. Also joining in the fun times is Kim Young Chul, once again playing Moon Chae Won’s daddy after The Princess’s Man. I am over the rainbow with Joong Ki getting his long awaited leading man role, but I just realized how hilarious it would be has Kim Nam Gil taken on this project, which would make him the first actor to go from Bad Guy to Nice Guy. Forgive my stupid puns, let’s all sit back and wait for the awesome that will surely be Nice Guy come late August.

The first episode premiere of Nice Guy would be either on September 5th or September 12th.

I’m thrilled they are jumping in with filming, that means nearly 8 weeks of less-rushed head start, which hopefully translates into a slightly less-exhausted cast and crew and better decision making at the helm. One hopes.

Why I have any hope left at all when it is the k-drama universe is beyond me.

Saw these pics at Couch kimchi’s last night and cried legit tears of joy seeing SJK doing his first drama script reading as a lead…and seeing Moon Chae Won and Park Si Yeon next to him made me even more happy
