Talk about fact imitating fiction and becoming truth. In what might have been the seemingly most random coupling in 2013 behind Rain and Kim Tae Hee, singer-actor Yoon Kye Sang and former Miss Korea-turned-actress Honey Lee are in the confirmed early stages of a relationship. That would make Yoon Kye Sang public enemy number one of most men in Korea, what with the luscious Honey’s allure in that country amongst the male gender. Back in January during the dating-scandal blitz when there were reported couplings appearing left and right (most were later debunked as rumors), one of them was that Yoon Kye Sang and Honey Lee were secretly dating and had jetted off to Bali together on a trip. Turns out that wasn’t true at all and both quickly denied it. But because of that scandal, Yoon Kye Sang and Honey Lee actually started spending time together and a month later started dating. LOL, I can’t even, this is too funny. Singer Kim Tae Woo, who was formerly bandmates with Yoon Kye Sang in boyband g.o.d., went on a talk show this week and revealed that he’s actually been crushing on Honey Lee since he was in the army and saw her gorgeous pictorial in a magazine. Recently he got up the guts to contact her and then the fake scandal broke with Yoon Kye Sang and shortly thereafter those two started dating. Kim Tae Woo is happy for his hyung but a little disappointed he never got a chance with her. I don’t recall either Honey Lee or Yoon Kye Sang publicly dating in the past so this is a first for them, though I’m sure they wished it could have been kept private except the tabloids snapped them out on a date together while wearing couple shoes and they had no choice but to confirm it. In terms of acting I’ve liked Yoon Kye Sang’s brand of boyish intensity since She is Nineteen, while Honey Lee is definitely easy on the eyes but so far she hasn’t left a good or bad impression in any of her dramas that I’ve watched. Acting aside, she’s no pretty airhead, Honey Lee graduated from Seoul National University and is an accomplished professional level gayageum player. Good luck to the happy new couple!
