Ha Ji Won and Gong Yoo Receive Presidential Award as Model Taxpayers of 2014

This photo op of Ha Ji Won and Gong Yoo is like danging candy in front of a group of ravenous kids on their birthday and then saying “sorry, you have to keep on waiting”. Two of Korea’s top A-listers finally made a joint appearance in something, but sadly it’s not a drama, movie, CF, or anything that remotely requires them to interact with each other. Gong Yoo and Ha Ji Won were selected as model taxpayers by the Korean government and attended a presidential award ceremony to accept this honor (along with the other recipients of the same award). It’s pretty crazy to think with their respective long filmography in both dramas and movies that Gong Yoo and Ha Ji Won have never worked together before. This is clearly some drama karma oversight, one which I pray is rectified soon so that the world can see what happens with the slayer of lady heart’s meets the slayer of men’s hearts. It’s funny how serious both of them are at this ceremony, wearing what appears to be their most proper power suits, though Ha Ji Won’s sky high heels definitely liven up the staid banker lady image. I’m glad they didn’t show up like so many of their entertainment brethren when attending drama or movie press conferences dressed like they grabbed clothes out of the closet with the lights off. Ha Ji Won is currently still in the thick of filming Empress Ki, with at least 20 more episodes left in its run, though her character has thus far managed to marry two men and have a son with each of her hottie husbands. Not bad for a woman living seven hundred years ago. While I would prefer Ha Ji Won and Gong Yoo in a drama (more of them for a longer period of time!), odds are higher that they may end up doing a movie together as their first collaboration. I don’t really care what genre as long as they get to make out. I’m so easy to please. In being selected for this award together, Ha Ji Won and Gong Yoo will be filming CFs and doing poster shoots to help promote the taxpayer agency for the upcoming year. Nothing like remember to pay your taxes because Gong Yoo and Ji Won tell you to.

  1. Why are they looking so serious and solemn? It’s a happy occasion, isn’t it? To be commended on doing their duties as a citizen- paying taxes. Come on, give me both of your smiles! 🙂

    • You can watch his movies, he has did three in the late years: Finding Mr. Destiny, Silenced and The suspect. The first one is so-so.

  15. I think the president gives award for two actors (GY and HJW) because there are a lot of high income people do not pay tax early. So, Gong Yoo and Ha Ji Won are role model and also to remind others to pay tax.

  19. I join the South Korea nation in mourning for the loss of the high school teens who perished in the sunken ferry ship incident. our hearts and prayers go to the victims and their families. May they find solace and assurance in God’s promise.

  20. I think it is a good time that the president or governors need to visit and share all emotions to victims families. They are so sad now, so they need all concern and help from other people especially the president or governors.

    Our life is so short. Also, money is lost when we get sick or accident. Therefore, the most important that we need to treat well and love one to another,and we must be have a happy life.

    I hope their families victim will be happy soon. God blessing them.
