Joseph Chang in the Pages of Men’s Uno as His Horror Comedy The Laundryman Hits the Taiwan Theaters
Joseph Chang has been on a box office tear the last three years, releasing two movies a year, and this year alone his third movie just opened at the theaters in Taiwan with still four months left before year end. It does mean he’s nowhere to be seen on television, and Drunken to Love You five years ago remains his sublime performance swan song to drama fans like me. He was always a movie star in Taiwan even before he hit international drama fan sights with DTLY, and remains a critical darling who is still waiting for a huge breakout hit movie.
He’s in the pages of Men’s Uno Taiwan this month as part of the promotion for his just released dark hitman horror comedy The Laundryman (青田街一號 Qing Tian Street Number 1) with Sonia Sui and Wan Qian. The movie looks macabre and hilarious, with Joseph playing Sonia’s number 1 hitman at her laundry service by day and assassin joint by night operation, with everything going swimmingly until Joseph starts sees ghosts of people he’s killed and is forced to consult an exorcist played by Wan Qian. Check out the English subbed trailer below while feasting on Joseph’s very understated sexy Men’s Uno spread.
