Cable Network tvN Remakes Popular Music Romance Manga The Girl Who Loved Lies — 12 Comments

  1. OT: Sorry but Miss Koala, will you ever do another post on the list of Japanese actors that you love? I think the last one that you did was in 2011, and I would love to see how that has changed over the years 🙂

    • Yeah, I miss all the j-entertainment news too. But anyways… I can totally see idols being casted here… I like the premise of the story but will only tune in depending on the cast. Otherwise I’ll just watch the j movie version.

  2. OMG!! I just hope tvN doesn’t remake this into typical kdrama!! I’m loving the manga and thoroughly enjoyed the movie!! Sato Takeru is one of my beloved J-actors!

I also agree with you… no IDOLS please!! There are plenty of actors/actress that can sing pretty well… watch King of Masked Singers, loads of actors/actresses go on it!

  3. I haven’t watched the movie or read the manga myself but most remakes don’t do the original justice so I hope this is an exception. Sato Takeru is indeed a talented actor so hopefully the Korean counterpart will be good too.
Speaking of remakes Mainland is currently remaking Proposal Daisakusen drama version and is planning to film a movie version next year. It seems like PD has become another classic that is going to be remade N times.

  4. I love that movie so much! I didn’t read the manga, but I saw the movie, and it is so good. The actors were amazing, being able to show all the feelings so well!

I really hope that they cast really good actors. For those Who saw the movie, the expectations will be really high. If they do it right, it has everything to be a really great drama.

  5. At first, I thought of Bogum.
But then, I hope it’ll cast Kang Haneul as the male lead.

    And for the female lead.
    Yes! Eunji, please!
