If I’m going to pre-judge a K-drama OTP based solely on first stills then Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun have just won my heart. Their new drama Suspicious Partner doesn’t arrive until the first week of May, airing on SBS Wed-Thur time slot following Saimdang: Light’s Diary so this is the perfect time to slowly ramp up promos and get viewers excited. Nam Ji Hyun has played back-to-back drama leading lady country bumpkins in What’s With My Family and Shopping King Louie, but very adorable and earnest characters but she was styled down to be a frumpy as possible. For Suspicious Partner I see cute clothes and beautifully colored hair, and it doesn’t hurt to have the handsome Ji Chang Wook back hugging her to complex the tableau. With Strong Woman Do Bong Soon wrapped this is definitely my next fun drama watch.
I like Nam Ji Hyun. She has that “girl next door” vibe about her. But I find she looked older in this drama. Idk, maybe it’s the styling but she seems to age much compared to when I last saw her in Louie. I am relieve that Ji Chang Wook chose this drama for fear that he is being typecasted as an action star. It’s very hard to break the mould so I am glad that he made this wise career move and hoping he will have another successful drama prior to his coming enlistment.
She looks very pretty. A bit plump – glad that she is well accepted for such a weight conscious industry.
She looks far older than her age. With this angle her face resembles Han Hyo Joo. And the pretty W actress is easily 8-10 years older than her.
Ya. She does look a bit like Han Hyo Joo except she is rounder. And I agree with @Emilie, she looks so matured compared to her look in SKLouise but still pretty.
I wouldn’t say she looks older (although there’s nothing wrong with that) but she looks more mature. She looks very mature and also quite gorgeous IMO so she’s starting to transcend her girl next door looks.
I’m more neutral about her acting compared to others but man, her smile could light up a room and makes her and every character she plays quite endearing.
Yea, same here. Not older but lovable mature. Even when I watch her interviews, she always come across as mature with a dash of adorableness.
I feel like this drama would definitely get decent rating. Both ji Chang wook and nam ji hyun are well liked in Korea. It seems like a fun drama and just from the stills alone I can see the chemistry. I can’t wait.
Woah… looking forward to my two favorite stars in one drama.
I can’t wait!… hoping that the story will be good. Cheers!.
Damn!!! That last picture with Chang Ji Wook, what a body!
Yoo Seung Ho & Kim So Hyun – I miss you
Ji Chang Wook & Nam Ji Hyun – Warrior Baek Dong-soo
Both were in the same drama but child & adult part. Both drama will premier May 10.
I am looking forward to this. Nam Ji Hyun was delightful in SKL and it’s a romcom, so I will give this a try. As I haven’t seen Ji Chang Wook in anything yet, I finally started watching Healer. I am on episode 14 and I like it. But strangely I cannot really connect to it. It’s fine, but a spark is missing. So let’s see how I am going to like him in this.
They look alike…wow
JCW looks super tired.
OMG. I’m SO excited for this!
