Seems like no one wants to live in the City of Stars. The big budget sci-fi K-drama just lost its male lead Byun Yo Han, which speaks volumes since it’s his first big drama male lead role and still he passed. City of Stars first got on the radar in early 2018 with talks of having Hyun Bin and Jang Dong Gun starring as the dual male leads. Both ended up declining, with Hyun Bin selecting Memories of Alhambra and Jang Dong Gun picking saguek Asadal Chronicles. City of Stars was on the back burner until late last year when Byun Yo Han reportedly accepted as the male lead and production started gearing up. It’s now ground to a halt as the drama needs to look of a new male lead who wants to go up to the City of Stars with PD Jang Jin who is an acclaimed movie director and producer so this was supposed to be his first drama foray.
I’m torn, on one hand I’m sad cos I was really looking forward to watching byun yo han but on the other hand I’m like space drama hmm nah.
Why why just why?
Production for this drama has been ongoing since 2016. At this point I wonder if it will ever get made? Maybe they should just drop it.
Hmmm.. With kpop scandal revealing the dark side of k-ent,I wonder if there is more than meets the eye in his resignation from the drama.
Why? Is there a reason for dropping this drama? Schedule clash is unlikely maybe he didn’t like how the story was written and he bolted at the idea? I must’ve been the only one that liked the storyline and I was secretly hoping Yoon Eun Hye was cast as well.
Why not waiting for LMH or KSH
