With the shrinkage of the K-drama airing times, with Mon-Tues getting put on hiatus or made permanent by the big three networks, there will also be fewer events K-dramas as before. The only big drama on deck for 2020 is Kim Eun Sook‘s fantasy romance The King: Eternal Sovereign with leads Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun. Kim Eun Sook’s is reuniting with Lee Min Ho who did her Heirs and Kim Go Eun from Goblin. The drama has now been sold to SBS for television airing, and afterwards distributed across other airing platforms. This seems ripe for a Netflix airing too. The drama is about parallel worlds with Lee Min Ho playing a King in one world trying to close the door between the worlds.
Zzzz I’ll read the posts here and recaps on Dramabeans thank you. I never thought I’d write this but I’m enjoying T and C dramas more nowadays as they are easier to watch, storyline and pace plus I don’t get anxiety attacks and migraines. Also I’m watching old K dramas as I find lil gems from years ago. I gotta find my K drama watching mojo again and I guess when Lee Joon Ki, Jo In Sung, Kim So Hyun and Jung Woo Sung are resurrected, hopefully I’ll get it back but until then….
I don’t know why I have a feeling this will become a flop
So in other words, I should endure another KES drama for my fav actor. For the third time. Thank you KGE and SJK.
Song Joong Ki? Are you talking about Descendants of the Sun, because I watched that for the cast too. And the beautiful Greek architecture and landscapes.
At least the synosis is so much better than hyunbin drama. If Kim go Eun have the same character like in Chinatown, I will sure watch it for her.
Looking forward to how writer KES and PD will execute the complicated parallel universe theme, currently being tackled in Rain’s Welcome2Life.
