Episode 17 of Queen Cheorin Gets Steady 14.510% Ratings as the Pregnant Queen Navigates Personal Feelings with Palace Plotting
tvN Sat-Sun drama Queen Cheorin (Mr. Queen) is now down to the penultimate weekend of airing and I’m back to being more interest solely to see what the writer has in store to wrap up this story. As cheaply and dorkily as source drama Go Princess Go was executed (HOMG the homemade costumes and “special” effects were to be seen), that drama was more crackastic for me despite me not knowing the leads unlike QC where I came in already loving Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun. Ultimately I’m just not engaged with the whole narrative and plot points, and just enjoy the fun scenes with the Queen being a fish out of water and saying her modern-isms and weirding everyone out but those who love her find it endearing. The King keeps showing his genuine side even as he battles his duty and I’d rather those two move back to his po-dunk peasant island and live happily ever after while all the power hungry douches take each other out. On a side note, the two lame supporting male leads the King’s brother and the Queen’s cousin have equally similar faces I want to punch, sorry to the actors but hoo boy are their characters f*cking annoying as shit.

I second koala on wanting to punch them second leads. The moment I see them I get a serious case of stank face
Ms. Koala, pretty please could I kindly ask if plot developments that could be spoilers for people who are behind on episodes or have not watched the drama aren’t posted in titles of posts, they are very hard to avoid when randomly posted in the title 🙁
Then stay offline till you’re all caught up. That’s the best way.
I’m always behind on currently airing dramas as I have very little time to watch most of the time so staying offline is not really an option, thanks for the suggestion though. I go to numerous kdrama sites and know how to avoid spoilers for airing dramas, it is much harder on here if spoilers are in the title because it’s a personal blog and posts for currently airing and future dramas are posted randomly.
It’s her blog so she can post however she wants so it’s why I requested politely if she could not post spoilers in titles out of consideration for some readers.
I wholeheartedly agree, it’s one thing if we click into the post ourselves. It’s another when the spoiler is in the title LOL. Please just leave it as ratings.
Okay, Byeong In and Yeongpyeong? F*ck you both!
This drama will be much better without that cousin character. He is so fucking annoying.
This episode highlighted what I’ve been saying all along. This is purely the Shin Hyesun & Kim Junghyun show. They are the show and the show is them.
I like Choi Sangung, Man Bok & Hongyeon, though. If the rest of the side characters had been equally well written, this drama would have been truly unstoppable. As their writing was lacking, and the characters had a lot more screentime than they should have had, the show never truly reached its full potential.
Anyways, I’m glad SHS and KJH got the opportunity to show off their talent once again. This drama was the perfect catalogue to show their mammoth acting range & versatility. I’m sure they’ll be in even higher demand now that they’ve shown what they’re capable of & gained a lot of recognition for their respective performances.
the prince’s brother and the cousin looks so similar that sometimes I don’t know who is who without anyone beside them.
Luckily the second female lead is much more likable than the two male supporting cast.
For Seol In Ah (Jo Hwa jin) a 96 liner I think did pretty well as the female supporting cast.
