The news is starting to shift to the K-actors coming back from military service soon, and there are a bunch who are male leads already or slated to slot into being one. Seeing aside Park Bo Gum and Yang Se Jong who are coming back in early 2022, the first will be Woo Do Hwan in January 2022, he’s currently on leave taking all his accumulated vacation and will transition into his discharge around the new year. He enlisted so quietly around The King: Eternal Monarch, and he remains one of my favorite parts of that drama, him and Kim Kyung Nam. Woo Do Hwan is actually not that tall and I mention it only because he always seem taller on screen in terms of sheer screen presence. With his return the love calls are coming and he’s considering the male lead role in Netflix drama Hounds adapted from a popular webtoon. It was originally offered to Kwak Dong Yeon and Lee Do Hyun (there are two male leads in the story) but both passed due to scheduling conflicts and it’s not a surprise as both have tons on their plate thanks to a breakout year in 2021. I’m looking forward to Woo Do Hwan’s return to drama land and whatever he picks if the story is remotely interesting to me I’ll definitely watch.

This guy is ostensibly overrated since "Save Me". He was freaking bad in Tempted and I don find any much better in TKEM and just mediocre in My Country.
He is one good looking guy. Cannot wait to see him in a new drama. I enjoyed Tempted.
I'm really excited to watch him back! Not sure about the drama on the other side.
I didn't care about the story in TKEM but his characters and KKN's one were the interesting ones.
My Country is one of the last true sageuk I loved. The casting was so good, young actors and older ones.
I like him and I find him good actor. I finished TKEM for him.
Yess! I miss his deep voice.
Still waiting for the updates on KSH scandal ?.
Joy got all the grief in Tempted, but this dude was not great either. Oddly, that couple actually had a nice chemistry but the acting and writing just didn't pan out. Hope the next project goes better.
He reminds me of Seo Kang Joon. Charismatic and handsome. Love 90 liners rising up to take spotlight. Can wait for WDH and Wi Ha Joon to shine in 2022.
